I wake up with a jolt, that bloody alarm! I look down at Pipsqueak who was curled up in a ball between my legs. That cat never failed to make me smile. Life had gotten better since the whole thing with Severus, there was rarely any drama anymore and things really seemed to be working out- but I didn't let my hopes build up to high... I was waiting for something to go wrong. I prayed it wouldn't, I was finally happy and so was Severus.

I look at my alarm, 10:50. I had a DADA class in 10 minutes, and funnily enough Severus was running it today as Professor Lupin was off sick. I was nervous as I knew today would be duels against classmates, I had been working on my anger issues but they were still as bad as ever. I figured out the thing that triggers me is when someone insults me or people I care about.

I jump out of bed and get dressed, Pipsqueak meows at me for some food so I give him some of his favourite kibble. As he munches away I grab my book bag and head out the door, I was going to be late If I didn't literally sprint my little behind to the class. I run down the hall and accidentally fall head first onto the floor, I felt like I had just hit a wall.

"Dani! Oh my god I'm so sorry, you're okay! where have you been? I have been worried sick. That day when you left without saying anything else... I really thought you were going to do something stupid" he says with a sad look on his face.

"I'm sorry about that, there was just so much going on in my head I didn't know how to handle it and I didn't want to hurt you in anyway but the main thing is nothing happened! nothing bad anyway" I say with a smile.

"I saw Professor Snape follow you when I walked back to the castle. Did he have something to do with saving you" He asks with a sassy glare.

"Y-you could say that" I say smiling.

"OH MY GODDDDDD, what so are you two a 'THING'" he says jumping with excitement.

"You are not to say a word to anyone Theo, of course I trust you. It's him I am worried about. I don't want anyone finding out, he could lose his job and I could lose him" I say

"I wont tell a soul, I swear. Speaking of- WE GOTTA GO. LIKE NOW" he says looking at his watch. Before we both take off running down the hall he stops and hugs me.

"Thank you for staying Dani. You are the best friend I have ever had" he says smiling down at me.

"You are too Theo, thank you" I say smiling back.

We sprint down the halls and finally get to the classroom, we practically fell into the class.

"Nice of you two to join us. Please stand either side of the duelling station" Severus says.

We both stand on the same side and I look up at Severus who gives me a subtle wink, god the power that man holds in a single wink.

"Now today we will be learning how to disarm your opponent in a duel, I will need two volunteers. Theo, Peter please come up" Severus says sternly.

"good luck" I whisper to Theo.

He nods at me with a smile and walks up to the duel station, I notice the boy he was going up against was the same coward who cursed me when I wasn't looking.

Thrash him Theo I whisper to myself

"Now I want a clean duel, is that understood" Severus asks with a harsh tone.

"YES SIR" they both reply.

"On the count of three, use a spell to disarm your opponent. ONLY to disarm" He shouts.
