The Truth

I hear a voice shout from behind me, I knew the voice sounded familiar. I was so close, so ready to jump and let everything go. So why didn't I? I slowly turn around and see Severus stood by the staircase. His mouth was open as if he was in some sort of shock and... was he crying.

"What the hell do you think you are doing" he shouts at me with rage in his voice.

I didn't know what to do or what to say to him right now, why was he even here? No way he knew where I was, I didn't tell anyone... unless he followed me.

"ANSWER ME" he yells again, this time walking over to me slowly.

"I DON'T KNOW OKAY! I DON'T KNOW! I HAVE TO DO THIS. I HAVE TO END IT" I scream, my eyes filled with tears and I let out a cry.

He walks over to me and pulls me into a hug, I wanted to hold him. I wanted nothing more than to embrace him again- but I couldn't.

"get off me. now" I say coldly.

He takes a step back and looks me dead in my eyes. It was like he thought everything he had done to me would just go away, he could not be more wrong if that was the case. I wanted to forgive him and move on but a part of me couldn't. Trust is everything to me and he had proven he was a liar.

"What do you want me to do? Do you want me to apologise?" he asks sternly.

"I want you to leave me alone, its not like you ever truly cared about me. You are just a liar that prays on emotions and leads pathetic people like me to thinking you actually could love someone. So NO- I don't want an apology. I want you to leave so I can do this" I say.

He didn't say anything, instead he walked right over to the ledge I was standing on and climbed up. What was he doing?

"You were going to jump. Why" he asks, he genuinely sounded like he cared.

"I... I can't even begin to explain why really. There are many reasons but the main being I am to dangerous for this world, I just never saw it until now. I never saw the damage I could cause just by losing control" The words just floated out and there was nothing I could do to stop them.

"And you thought this was the answer to it all? You never thought to come and tell me." he said, he looked at me with sad eyes.

He was the first person I wanted to run to. I couldn't do this again. I could not let my guard down just to get hurt again, I had to lie.

"I'm sorry but you are the last person I want to help me. Thats why I am up here, because there is nothing anybody can do to help me. If I stay I will be putting everyone in danger and I could never live with myself If I lost control with someone" I say sternly, I could tell this was hurting him. I felt horrible doing this to him but what else could I do? Let him in again just to get hurt.

He slowly climbs down of the ledge and extends a hand to me.

"Can I show you something" he asks slowly.

I hesitate for a moment and slowly take his hand as he slowly pulls me off the ledge and sits me down on the staircase.

"Just trust me with this" he says as he raises his wand.

"What are you doi-"

Yet another sorting ceremony that I had to sit through. Joyful.

GOD. Can this hurry up already, right the last student.

Another Gryffindor, ugh. Right thats over with at least I can leave now, as I sit up to leave the sorting hat speaks again. All eyes were on this girl. It was her, the legend I had been told about before. "The Impossible Student" the one that fit into all the houses and would bring devestation.
