Chapter 6

(Calums P.O.V)
I look over to the door and I can't believe he's just standing there at 7:00 hes standing on Luke's door step. "I really need to talk to Jessica" Brooks pleaded. " I don't want to talk to you" Jessica replied giving him a dirty look. "Please just let me explain" Brooks said walking into the house." No you don't" said Jess running to the back door. I followed behind her because I knew she was upset. I heard Kayleigh talking shit to Brooks"Who do you think you are coming in here and making her upset.... You know your a piece of shit and you didn't deserve her anyway!" She said yelling at him. Then all I heard was a snap I look back I could see him holding his jaw. I think she might've broken it then she went to Jess with me and then all I heard was the sound of someone crying and i looked back it was also Brooks because Mikey decided to knock him out cold then he checked if his heart was still going, it was.
I ran out the back door and saw Jessica and Kayleigh when Kayleigh spotted me she got up and went back inside. "Hey jess are you okay?"I asked. "No no I'm not" she said her voice shaky. She looked up and had her mascara and tears running down her face. "Jess why didn't you tell me" I asked questioning but calmly. "Because I was afraid of what you would say because I know you hated him and I didn't listen when you said he would break my heart"he said more tears streaming down her face.
" Calum I'm so sorry I didn't listen to what you said, it was all true what you said I-I-I'm so so so soo sorry please don't be mad". She pleaded more tears streaming down her face. "Jess no no no you've got it all wrong I'm not upset with you I'm not gonna say I told you so. Jessica your way out of his league you deserve so much better than that. Jessica you are such a confident,beautiful, and sweet person the fact that one person can hurt you so much breaks my heart. I care way to much about you to let you cry." I said sitting down next to her putting my arm around her. "I know you care about me and I really know that because your always there for me and I can call you whenever and you'll always make time for me and I love that".
I just was comforting in the warm summer night we where just sitting on Luke's back porch not really caring. After awhile her eyes dried up and we went back inside and joined everyone when watching the rest of 22 jump street but I just let her sit with her friends and I sat with the guys then 10:00 rolled around and we went home but me and Jess went back to my house to get her car.
"Hey can I just stay the night Cal?" She asked still looking upset."yeah sure" I replied. We went inside I gave her a pair of my sweat pants and my sweatshirts then we went to my room."Cal can you please tell me one thing?"she asked. "Yeah sure what is it Jess?"I said." Why where you my friend all these years?"she questioned. "You really want to know?" I said kinda nervous . "I really do cause your so much different and cooler than me" she said kinda looking down. I'm not really sure what I should tell her.Should I tell her how I feel or make something up??
