Chapter 20 | Soaked

Momo's Pov.

  Momo stayed behind because she had to look for cameras. Her friends had most likely forgotten, and she wasn't just about to let UA see them without clothes. Even if the one watching the cameras was Recovery Girl. 

  At the moment, she was up in the trees. She didn't see anything yet, but she was sure that the cameras were just well hidden. The sun was pretty hot now, but she wasn't going to let that stop her. 

  She pushed the branches of a tree back to reveal a note. 

  "There aren't any cameras pointed at the hot spring, but don't push the button to your wristband just because there isn't any," Momo muttered the words written on a note, 
Recovery Girl."

  She breathed out a sigh of relief. Recovery Girl was aware of their situation. It was comforting to hear this.

  Momo jumped down from the tree and waited for her friends to come back. She touched the water. It was nice and warm. This was what she was waiting for. 

  Maybe Momo could create a bath bomb to make them smell nicer. She thought of the one to use, the environmentally safe one that she created. It was expected of her to create something like this, especially because her family supported so many causes relating to nature.

  On top of this, she had a tablet that could turn the water back to normal, so she could put it in when they were done. 

  Momo nodded to herself, and then her friends came back. 

  "Midoriya's guarding us without knowing we're taking a bath, and now we can relax," Mina informed her.

  Momo nodded before stripping and going into the water. So nice... She could stay there forever...

  That was when she created a bath bomb out of her arm and the water exploded with the color pink. Maybe Momo should've chosen another color, but this was what she went with.

  "What happened?" Uraraka asked.

  "Bath bombs," Momo told her and created another one out of her arm. It began fizzing immediately, and the water around it exploded with color.

  "Wow!" they all had stars in their eyes. Momo smiled at them. 

  "I like to practice making these a lot so I can get the scent just right," she told them. It took a long time... 

  "Here," she created soap bars out of her arm, "It's soap."

  These were also environmentally safe. This also took a lot of practice to make. 

  "Thank you," they thanked her in unison.

  After they cleaned themselves, they started talking a little, and a little bit later, they started hearing voices other than their own.

  "Hurry! Get dressed!" Mina whisper yelled.  

  Momo leapt out of the hotspring and threw on her clothes.

  "Oh no..." she mumbled as the water soaked through her shirt. This was just like the water situation when Todoroki created the pillar of ice! Except now it was soaked throughout her whole shirt! How was she going to walk around the campsite like this!?

Todoroki's Pov.

  They walked in silence for a while, but then started talking.

  "Do you think the girls went this way?" Ojiro asked.

  "I thought I saw them go this way, earlier too," Todoroki sighed, "With Midoriya..."

  "Why do you think they brought him over here?" Kaminari wondered, "Do you think..."

  There was no way Yaoyorozu would do something like that. No. Not a possibility. 

  "No, please erase the dirty thoughts from your mind," Tokoyami jumped in.

  "Hi guys," Midoriya greeted them with a wave when they got closer.

  There he was! The one Yaoyorozu was so impressed with last night when he caught Uraraka. The one that the girls had led into the undergrowth to do whatever they were planning. 

  Todoroki couldn't help but glare at him. Even though Midoriya was his friend, he was annoyed.

  That was when Kaminari rushed over to the green haired male and started shaking him really hard. Todoroki wasn't sure if he thought Midoriya deserved it or not, but then Midoriya started speaking.

  "I... don't... know... what... you're talking about!" Deku spoke between shakes. 

  Todoroki put a hand on Kaminari's shoulder to get him to stop. He pushed him back a little bit  to make sure he wasn't going to stop shaking Midoriya again. 

  "Then where are they?" Todoroki interrogated. He was annoyed at this point, maybe even a little angered. If Yaoyorozu wasn't here, where was she? And what did Midoriya relationship did Midoriya have with her? Even if he did have a crush on Uraraka, Todoroki wanted to know what was going on with them. 

  "They wanted to talk together without interruptions..." Deku rubbed the back of his head, "was the reason they gave me to stay here to make sure no one interrupted their talk. But..."

  "But"? "But" what? 

  'Cut to the chase Midoriya.'

  "But what?" Ojiro questioned for Todoroki, who was doing his best to control his bubbling annoyance.

  "I could tell they were lying," Deku sighed, "Uraraka told me that she might tell me the real reason later."

  So maybe Midoriya didn't know what was going on either. He still never denied the fact he knew where the Yaoyorozu was! Where was she?

  "Hmm, that's a little strange," Tokoyami commented.

  Out of the corner of his eye, the girls suddenly rushed a few feet behind them. Todoroki looked up to see that they were all soaking wet. He looked away immediately, but again had seen the clothing underneath Yaoyorozu's shirt. 

  The rest of the girls leapt in front of Yaoyorozu, but it was a bit late for that...

  "You're soaking wet... Do you need to sit near the fire?" Todoroki asked her. He wanted her to dry off immediately so that he didn't see that again... 

  "No, I'm okay," Yaoyorozu responded.

  A moment passed where neither of them talked. 

  "Yeah... I really should... I can't walk around the camp like this..." Todoroki glanced back up at her face to see her ringing her hair out. It really was soaked. 

  They walked back to the campsite, Todoroki making sure not to glance over to her.
