Momo's Pov.

She was sitting at her desk reading a book. It was a good novel. The genre was fantasy and this was one of her favorite book series. Momo was right at a really good part! The protagonist was about to confess her crush on the boy that she'd loved for a little while.

Momo sighed. The main character was just so brave... It was so hard to even think about your crush without blushing while this girl was about to tell them...

She leaned her head against her hand and her elbow rested against the table.

Momo felt her cheeks heat up a little as a boy with half white half-red hair popped up in her mind. He had an intimidating stare, but was it really that icy? He was so mysterious, but that only made him more intriguing to her. Maybe she didn't need to know his innermost thoughts, but maybe she could be his friend, perhaps more...

She felt more blood rush to her face. Hopefully, no one noticed... Especially the boy in question... Who was... Sitting directly next to her.

Momo couldn't help but remember that night they played truth or dare... It was so embarrassing! She confessed her crush on Todoroki by hitting him with a broom and it ended in a kiss! Momo didn't want her feelings to be confessed that way... But it happened...

By the time she realized her eyebrow were knitted together, she realized she wasn't really reading, but thinking about her own crush.

She pushed the book closed and set it off to the side of her desk.

Momo heard his voice speak; he was telling Midoriya to stop muttering.

She couldn't help but glance over to him: Shoto Todoroki. But when their gaze connected, she glanced away to look at the cover of her book and put both her hands on her lap hastily. Her face was probably beet red by now... And she hoped that Todoroki didn't notice...

"You're going camping for a week... Pack and come back within an hour... Class rep, here are some of the extra details..." Mr. Aizawa's voice snapped her out of her trance and she moved her gaze up to the front of the class. After her teacher handed Iida a stack of paper, and zipped up his yellow sleeping bag.

Everyone but her, Iida, and Todoroki started sprinting out of the room. They all pushed and shoved to get out of the door.

She smile a little bit at how disorganized her classmates could be. It was almost comical.

  "Yaoyorozu, are you coming?"

Momo looked up to see Todoroki, he was passing her desk to leave the room.

"Oh!" she took her bag and stood up, "Yes, let's proceed back to our dorms."

'Did that sound too formal? It couldn't have been informal right? He just asked me if I was going back to the dorms to pack... It was an easy question yet she probably just answered wrong somehow...'

Momo started walking with Todoroki back to the dorms. There was a comfortable yet uncomfortable silence between them. Wait, was that even a thing? Could there be a comfortable yet uncomfortable silence? Well... They didn't have to talk, so it was comfortable in the way that they didn't need to say anything to each other, but then the memory of truth or dare came back and crowded her mind... What was she to do?

Todoroki's Pov.

She was walking next to him down the hall. Silence hung over them, but he wasn't exactly sure if it was uncomfortable. Either way, he enjoyed her company.

He held the door for her as they got outside of the main building.

"Thank you," their gazes connected as she spoke.

He just nodded in response because he couldn't decide between the responses "You're welcome" or "Of course".

A soft breeze blew by. It didn't help the silence.

He just wished he knew how to speak to everyone else... Especially to Yaoyorozu. He already confided to Midoriya about his burned eye, but she didn't need to know how he got it. He really just wanted to have a normal conversation though.

He held open the next door again, and after she said "Thank you" again, they both took different routes to get to their dorm rooms.

It definitely wasn't that he was afraid of being lonely- no, it was far from that- but there was definitely something... Missing... His father wasn't great company, no. He would rather be alone than be around his father. Anger started boiling in his veins, but he calmed himself because he was missing the point of why he was thinking about what he was thinking.

It all circulated in his head. Over and over. Why didn't it stop? He wasn't exactly sure, but it was definitely irking.

He opened his dorm door to walk inside his dorm. He didn't bring that much with him to UA, so it was easy to pack everything.

Todoroki left the dorms but didn't go back to the main building right away. Instead, he made his way to the garden.

He greeted Tsu, who was taking care of the flowers there before their trip.

There weren't any benches but that was okay. He leaned against a tree.

He took something out of his pocket. It was Yaouorozu's book. She forgot it so he picked it up for her... But he didn't give it back yet. Maybe he could hold onto it for a little while... For safekeeping... He could give it back on the bus or somewhere. They could have a normal conversation instead of letting silence overtake them...

It was all because of that night... Hagakure and Ashido did this... They ended up making their situation worse... If Yaoyorozu had any feelings left for him after that, it would only be friendship. He could only hope that they both forget about that night...

"Is that Momo's book, ribbit?" Tsu walked over to him.

"Yes," he put it away hastily but made sure there was no emotion on his face. He felt his cheeks heat up the slightest bit though.

"She was upset that she couldn't find it, and now she thinks she was being irresponsible ribbit," Tsu sighed, "I would give it back to her before she gets too upset, ribbit."

Todoroki nodded and started to the main building. She would probably be there and he could give it back.

Author's Note: For anyone who hasn't, I would really suggest reading my IzuOcha book. You see, this series is connected and the books overlap. You can get some background information on what's going to happen and what "that night" was about. There were two sleepovers, the first Truth or Dare chapter is the one you're looking for.
