Chapter 30 | Fake Resue Scenario

Momo's Pov.

  It was finally time to leave this place. After all the time they spent, now they had to go. She wouldn't say that she would miss camping, but... There was a feeling there like all their hard work would just go to waste... Everything that was there they had to leave behind... 

  They were walking along the path. Todoroki and Momo at the back of the group. Most of her classmates were attempting to steal Midoriya's mulberries. It was something she assumed he collected before the trip back to the dorms. Although... Why would he need to do so when he could easily purchase some later on?

  Letting that thought slip her mind, she started to feel happiness take her. She was going to have a real bath once she got back! 

  When they got back to their starting point, they all waited anxiously for the bus to arrive. When was it going to get there? What if UA decided to make them stay for another month?

  She shook her head to make the thought disappear. UA wouldn't do that to them and they were very punctual, meaning they had to come soon. 

  Momo watched as a woman parked to the side and rolled down her window to ask if they were alright. 

  "What are you all doing standing out here?" she wondered. 

  "We are UA students and we just finished an assignment," Iida stepped forward, "We were camping here for a week and now we are waiting for the bus to arrive."

  "Okay," she nodded, "Stay safe!"

  It looked like she was about to drive away, but then the sound of a baby crying made her stop.

  "Oh Petunia.." the woman walked to the back of her car and picked up the child.

  "I would ask for a pacifier, but I doubt you have one on you..." the woman sighed.

  Yaoyorozu stepped forward, wanting to help the situation. Remembering the components of a pacifier as well as a small blanket. 

  She handed them to the female and soon she drove off. Momo was happy she could be useful. 

  A little while later, they got their hopes up at the sound of an engine, but it ended up just being a car. 

  When there were two engines, they all got excited. perhaps this was it! The ride to take them back to the dorms!

  And one of them was! 

  Suddenly, the car exploded into blazing, firey flames, and the car flipped a few times before crashing on the side of the road, close to where they were!

  They all started running to it and Momo analyzed the situation as quickly as possible. 

  There were three passengers: One man was trapped underneath the car. A man was unconscious at the wheel from the crash. The last person seemed unscathed but was freaking out being stuck in the back seat. 

  Then the bus parked on the side of the road and Mr. Aizawa started speaking when the doors opened. 

  "Get on the bus or we're leaving without you..." Mr. Aizawa told them, his voice calm and clear. 

Todoroki's Pov.

  There's no way Mr. Aizawa didn't see the scene that unfolded before them, which meant this was all just a test. No one else seemed to realize this, but then when he glanced at Yaoyorozu he knew she already figured it out. 

  Yaoyorozu started running to the man in the front seat. He followed her, knowing she might not be able to lift someone that big by herself. Even if this was a test, he wanted to pass this. If he didn't help, his peers might not understand why. 

  It wasn't possible that this wasn't staged. It had to be fake. Mr.Aizawa wouldn't abandon anyone in need. The fact that almost no one else realized that this was false was the annoying part. 

  Yaoyorozu waited for Sato and Shoji to force the door to break and come off so they could safely remove the unconscious person. 

  She created a stretcher and it tore her shirt. He ignored it the best he could so that he didn't see her most likely exposed chest.

  'Why do things like this always happen to her?'

  "I guess we're leaving without you..." Mr. Aizawa sighed before the doors closed and he went back into the bus. 

  Todoroki and Yaoyorozu placed the man on the stretcher. Sato and Shoji carried him away. 

  Yaoyorzu stared into his eyes for a moment knowing what he was about to do before nodding in understanding and backing away. 

  When everyone was far away from the car, he put out the fire by encasing the vehicle in ice. 

   "You all passed," Mr. Aizawa was... smiling? Quite an unusual event. 

  "What!?" class 1-a (besides Todoroki and Momo) shouted at the same time.

  Everyone they were "saving" stood up and shook Mr.Aizawa's hands. 

  "Thank you," he thanked them before the actors turned to the students. 

  "I feel that society will be safer because you're here," the man that Todoroki "saved" smiled, "I'm happy that the next generation of heroes is going to be you."

  He felt a flash of pride jolt through him, though he didn't let his face show it. He was on his way to becoming a hero better than his father.

  "Time to leave..." Aizawa left to walk to the bus and everyone followed. 

  They sat in the same seats as the ride to the campsite. He was once again filled with uneasiness. What if he did something wrong? How would she react then? 

  Pushing the thoughts away, he stared out the window, though the bus didn't start moving yet. This was mostly because he didn't want to accidentally look in the wrong place. He didn't want her to lose trust in him for a ridiculous reason like that. 

  Soon everyone was loaded on the bus and they were all ready to go back to UA. 

   "Oh yeah..." Mr. Aizawa stood up so everyone could see him, "We're not going directly back to the dorms..."
