Sophie pov

It was about 4 pm when dad entered anger clearly visible on his face. He was rarely this angry the last time he was this angry was when someone messed up and a patient almost died. 

"Sophie, pack your bags we are leaving right now."  He said.

As he was in a bad mood I didn't say anything and started to pack my bags.

He packed his. That's when a man entered.

"Look, Dr. Walker, we are sorry we joked about your wife but you can't be serious about ending this contract of working with us. We are one of the top ones." He said.

"I never wanted to be a part of your contract ever I was dragged into this, and joking about someone's death was the line no one should so that automatically ends this on my end. I am leaving for good I don't ever wanna work with you. Now get out, I don't want my daughter to listen to your so-called promises and I don't care if you're one of the top ones, I have some principles that I am always going to follow."  He said his voice full of anger.

That man walked out. Dad ran his hand through his hair the thing he did when he was frustrated.

"Are you done?" He asked after some time.

"Yep,"  I said.

"Come sit here". He said patting the side of his bed.

I sat there.

"I am sorry you had to hear that. It will never happen again. And that man may try to approach you just ignore and move on. And if he doesn't stop, call me." He said.

"Dad, it's fine. And yeah I  will keep in mind what you said."  I said.

Great, now let's leave. He said.

"Is Duke coming with us?"  I asked.

"Yep, he will meet us down."  He said.

"Alright." I said.

We both walked out, bags in hand, and rushed down.

Duke was there.

"Ashton, are you sure of this?"  He asked dad.

"Yes. I can't just let them get away with this. And we will talk about this later. I am sure Sophie doesn't want to hear this."  Dad said.

"Alright, we will talk more later". Duke said.

"You can talk if you want, I don't mind,"  I said.

"Believe me, Soph, you don't wanna hear this". Dad said.

"If you say so," I say.

We walked towards the dock and a car was there to pick us up. We three sat in it and the car rushed to the airport.

Before I knew it, I was sitting on the plane. Dad and Duke were quiet the whole flight, dad was thinking something as when he thought deeply about something the corner of his eye squinted a little. That's how well I knew him.

After a few hours......

I must have fallen asleep cause dad was shaking me up.

"Wake up." He said.

"Yeah, up," I said and opened my eyes.

When are we landing? I asked.

"The announcement of landing was just made". Dad said.

Soon we landed. We three got off the plane.

"I am sleeping as soon as we reach,"  Duke said.

"Of course, I am too sleeping I am way too tired to even go home and change". Dad said laughing. 

I was thinking about that man who came into the room so I was quiet. We sat in the car, it was parked in the airport parking. Dad drove home.

"See you both tomorrow morning,"  Duke said yawning as we all got out of the car.

"See you". Dad and I said. 

Dad unlocked the house. We both entered. It was now 3 am.

"Keep your bags here only. We will see when we wake up." Dad said.

I dropped the bags there only dad did the same.

He must be really tired as he never likes things out of place, he is a surgeon of course he wouldn't.

We both headed upstairs. Dad straight went to his room and I went to mine. I didn't bother to change, just crashed on the bed and slept.

SOME QUESTIONS I'M GETTING ASKED: 

1) Will Sophie Walker still be a trilogy?  Answer: Yes, I have written one or two chapters for the second one but we'll see what happens in them. 

2) New chapters? Answer: I'm going by every Sunday (yes there's a change)  but as I'm a human (and a very bad one at that) I forget so I publish whenever I remember or double-update on Wednesday. Two chapters were like that I don't remember which ones though. 

3) Is the book the same or are there changes?  Answer: Well that's under wraps for now 

4) How is the editing process going?  Answer: Thank you for asking that, I really appreciate that. It's going pretty well at the moment I guess. I took a long break though due to school but yeah no one knew cause I have the chapters already edited. I'm editing the 20th chapter right now (as I write this) I'm almost done with it though. 

5) Are there days you don't want to edit but have to and days where you want to but can't?  Answer: To both, yes. There are a lot of struggles behind typing that one word. I have to take time out then feel guilty if some school work got left. A lot. 

6) Time for daily editing? Answer: Not fixed, somedays I'll go edit for like an hour or more but some days I just don't 

Those were the most common ones I was asked in messages <3. They were asked a while ago but I wanted to answer them on a special occasion. Sophie walker has officially hit 1400 reads I know it isn't like a milestone but it is for me. So thank you to YOU for reading this and having patience as I slowly edit. Love you all take care <33
