Twenty Five

Sophie pov
I slept a bit early yesterday. Yesterday was fun we both turned the phones off and watched movies all day. And today was going to be a long day, a school where I knew no one. I roll out of bed and take a deep breath and go to the washroom. I step out and get ready for the school day take my bag.

"Dad. Morning. "I say as I get downstairs.

"Morning. I was about to come to wake you up." He says.

"Well, I thought that this is a new school so we could get there early." I say.

"Smart." He says. I smile.

"So, your school is  far from the hospital, so you will go on a school bus as I can't drop you I might pick you up some days but that's it." He said. I nodded. 

He gives me yogurt and fruit. I eat it quickly. He eats his apple.

"Your bus will be here in 10, and I also need to go. So, let's go." Dad says.

"I grab my bag, and my water bottle as we step out and dad grabs his things. 

"Bye Sophie takes care. If you need me call me." Dad says.

"Bye, dad. Have a good day." I say.

"You too." He says sits in the car and drives off.

After 10 minutes, a bus comes. I board it. I sit alone in a seat as I didn't know anyone it goes to my new school named Berry High school. The bus dropped us inside the campus. We all got out. I sigh as I see the school in front of me.  I see someone familiar. I brush it off as I knew no one. I go on with the crowd. Then I see someone who's just standing there.

"Hey I am Sophie, a new student here can you direct me to the office?" I ask.

"Hey, I am Skylar. And you a freshman?" She asks as she starts walking. I follow her.

"Nope, a sophomore," I say.

"Same. Now let's hope we are in the same classes." Skylar says. I nod. 

Soon, we reach the office.

"This will be my cue to leave. You can go in you will find the desk lady tell her your name and she will guide you." Skylar says.

"Okay, see you around Skylar." I say.

"Yeah, Sophie see you around." She says and walks away.

I go in and walk over to the desk lady. 

"Hey can I get the schedule, locker combination, and other stuff for Sophie Walker?" I asked

"Sophie. Sophie". She says searching through the papers on her desk.

"Here you go Sophie your first class is in 20 so you better hurry."She says handing me the papers

"Okay. Thanks." I say and run out the door.

The papers have my schedule, locker number, and other things. I read it and it also contains a map.

First, I had to get to the homeroom. So, after reading the map I got there. As I entered the room, I saw Parker there. Parker was in the same school as me.

"Hey Sophie." He said as walked toward me. He had a school president badge.

"Hey Parker." I say.

"Come on, let's sit the teacher will be here any second," Parker says, and I follow him. There was only one seat empty which was next to him. So I sat there.

In about 10 seconds the teacher came in Parker was right.

"Hello, class good morning I am Ms. Willow." She says.
