Sophie pov

After 3 hours, dad came into the room and sat on the bed. 

"Are you feeling alright?" He asked. 

"Yeah, I am sorry for making you run back home." I say. 

"You don't have to be sorry for anything, you'll always be my first priority I know I don't say it often but I love you." He said and hugged me. 

"I love you too dad." I said. 

"I have something that'll cheer you up." He said. 

"What is it?" I ask. 

"Back to school shopping if you're up for it if you aren't we can just watch movies at home." He says. 

"How about we go shopping first and when we come home watch movies," I say. 

"Alright, sounds good get ready. I'll be downstairs." He said and got up from the bed.

"Okay." I said and he got out of the room. I heard him go downstairs. 

I quickly got out of bed and changed up and when I was done went downstairs. He was there just waiting for me.

"Let's go." I said. He nodded and grabbed a few things, we got out and he locked the house. After, we were both sat in, he started it. Soon, we reached the mall as he said he wanted to buy some other things as well. He parked the car and we got out. We were done with the shopping pretty soon. He bought some shoes for himself and I got some clothes and some stationery I thought I will need for school. I bought some clothes as well from another shop and he got some shoes for himself. When we were done we go out of the mall. We walked to the car and sat in it and in like an hour, we reached home because there was a lot of traffic.  We entered and changed in our rooms and then met downstairs and sat on the couch.

"Dad." I say.

"Yeah what's up?" He asks. 

"What happened with you and Emily?" I ask. 

"Well, she accidentally killed one of my patients I can't tell you how but that led to her losing her medical license, I forgave her after but she was just angry. " He said. 

"So she went away then?" I ask. 

"Nope, she did like two weeks after dad died. It was like he was holding both of us together and as soon he was gone, she was gone." He said. 

"I'm sorry dad, I didn't know." I said. 

"You couldn't have, if she didn't show up that day you wouldn't have known ever cause you were like 3 and after that, you've just grown up too fast and understand everything." He said. 

"Thank you dad, I love you." I said and hugged him.

"I love you too. Now, what do you wanna watch?" He asked and hugged back picking up the remote. 

"High school musical." I said. 

"How many times are we going to watch that?" He asked as we had watched that movie like 50 times before.

"As long as we can." I said. He put the movie on and we spent the next maybe 4 and a half hours watching all of them. Then dad put on Grey's anatomy and we watched a few episodes. It was now time for dinner and we both were hungry and dad didn't want to cook as he was tired so we ordered pizza.

After we were both done eating, we just sat downstairs talking about stuff when my phone buzzed. It was Nathan. It was him asking that if we could be friends again, I just read the text from notifications so I just decided to reply later. 

"Who was it?" Dad asked. 

"Nathan, he's asking to be friends again." I said. 

"It's your choice whether you want to be friends with him or not but if he hurts you again I'll make sure he's never able to hurt anyone ever again." He said with a stern voice. 

"Yes dad, I'll make sure he doesn't hurt me and if he does I'll tell you." I say. 

"Alright, just stand by that." Dad said. 

We talked about school and other stuff for a good while. I was sleepy so I said goodnight to him and headed up to my room. I had already changed into comfortable clothes when we came back. So I just went to bed but I tripped on nothing but air and my hand hit the vase and some of it went in my foot so I screamed.
