Klaus watched as the girl continued to play with her dress, his gaze immediately going to her green eyes that were downcast, glued to the floor. His eyes went to her hair that was longer than Allison's was, it was lighter though and the curls were many looser, but what caught his attention was the flowers that weaved through the brown locks.
"Uhmm... Your flowers are really pretty, uhmmm... Eleanor? Was it?" He breathed out, trying to hold tears in, not really wanting to cry in front of her.
"Oh yeah, but you can call me Ellie though." She smiled widely at him, trying to diffuse the tension, her steps slow and timid as she walked towards him ending up by the bed with him. "May I?" She asked politely, gesturing to the spot next to him. The boy only scooted to make room for the girl to sit on. His bloodshot eyes did not escape Ellie's observation, her hand going to touch his. The touch made some sort of energy course through her arm and surge into her heart, the fear and sadness he felt bursting through her, like a symphony clutching her, moving her to overwhelming emotions.
Klaus was startled at the sudden touch, his head snapped up to see the girl staring at him with tears in her eyes. Her chest felt heavy, she wanted to sob out but knew that Klaus needed her. She wiped her eyes and sniffed slightly, smiling at Klaus. "I'm sorry about whatever scared you and made you sad, I didn't look I promise." Her words only confused young Number Four even more but stopped himself from prodding, he watched as she looked around his room, her head stopping and smiling as she saw the small glass scorpion that sat on his desk. " Do you like scorpions?" She asked, her green eyes piercing into his dark ones, he looked at back at the ornament shrugging, he faced her once more her smiling face downcast as she looked at her closed palm.
He followed her eyes, and watched as she slowly opened it back up revealing a scorpion, he scooted backwards both from the girl that had just pulled out the arachnid calmly, and the scorpion that he was most certain could sting and kill him all within the span of five minutes. The girl looked guilty at his reaction but offered the small thing to him anyway "I won't let anything hurt you I promise."
"He looks, pretty dangerous to me."
"No, I promise Klaus, It's all in your head, I put him there. He can't hurt you." Ellie closed her palm quickly opening it again to show that the scorpion did disappear, she did it once more for it to return. This amazed Klaus, putting two and two together, finally realizing that she must have been as special as him and his siblings. The bed dipped as he sat back down in front of her, she placed the little thing on his leg and he felt the little legs tickle him, fear sparking in him once again, but the promise of his new friend made him battle the urge to run out of the room. Once he got comfortable he picked up the scorpion in his hand and it began to climb his arm this time. The children in the room laughed quietly, trying not to be too loud for the other kids that slept in their beds nearby.
The moment was broken as Pogo knocked on the door, making them look over and stop laughing. "I'm afraid, Ms. Ellie must proceed to the office Master Klaus." Klaus frowned feeling the sadness and fear from earlier creep up on him again. the speed of its resurfacing overwhelmed him, not really wanting Ellie to leave him all alone once again. Ellie who still had her hand on his arm felt everything he was feeling, she offered him a smile as she gestured to the bed, and reached up to pluck a petal on her head. "Here, eat it. It will calm you down." Klaus only looked at her weirdly before complying, it tasted sweet like candy and he felt the weight on his chest be lifted off. He forced himself to lay under the covers, preparing for her to leave him in the dark alone, but he looked up to see Ellie looking down at him, her hand rising up, placing a finger to his temple. "Sleep tight Klaus, it was nice to meet you..." Her soft voice was the last thing he heard before he drifted off to a dreamful and peaceful sleep.

Sir Reginald sat in his study, watching the screen that showed Number Four's room. he watched as Ellie began to play with Klaus, the two looking to be tickled by an invisible thing as they laughed and passed it between them. He pulled at one of his drawers taking out one of the eight journals. He placed the one labeled Eleanor in front of him, opening it and writing on the blank pages, his hand not stopping, jotting down all of his observations, minuscule or not, with these children everything must simply be documented.
His eyes once again went to the screen, seeing Number Four freeze on the bed as the green-eyed girl reached for her hair plucking a pink petal from one of her flowers. He watched as his son took it from her offering hand, not needing much convincing as he popped it in his mouth. He could clearly see the immense difference in Number Four's features, he was a lot less tense, his eyes no longer harboring any fear. Reginald wrote again his eyes not bothering to leave the screen, his son now laid under his blanket, he watched as the girl placed a finger to his temple like she had countless times with the small hamsters in his office, and like the hamsters, Klaus lay there deep in sleep. He sighed, smiling to himself.
"Extraordinary. Truly Extraordinary."
