The next years of the Umbrella Academy consisted heavily of arduous training and missions. It was a non-stop haze until they were able to control their powers with such ease. The first mission was most memorable, the children woke up in the morning and went to school as usual, but then in the middle of the day amidst one of their classes, the alarms blared, each one of them, except for Vanya stood up abruptly in alert, going to their rooms emerging with masks concealing half of their faces. The bank was already swarming with people trying to get a glimpse of what was happening, the commotion attracting even more who were still coming. Inside the bank was another story, the children hidden in the mazes of the back rooms peeked through the glass to see that the men in ski masks were busy, some occupied with hostages near the elevator, a few of them pointing guns at the people they had tied up, propped to the wall.

Allison was the first to approach them, she walked towards the man that had his back to the group as he yelled into his walkie-talkie. "Hey get back with the others." the tall man ordered the curly-haired girl, pointing towards the group of people that were already listening to another girl with flowers in her hair. "I heard a rumor..." she whispered to him, only pushing the man's buttons more. "What? What did you say?" "I heard a rumor that you shot your friend in the foot." The guy's eyes glazed over as he held up his gun pointing it toward one of his accomplices, effectively shooting a bullet through his foot just as she had said. Not far from the ruckus was Ellie who smiled sweetly at the adults that had their hands tied and mouths taped. The fear and confusion they felt was replaced with somecalm when they stared at the girl's big green eyes. One of them snapped from the trance when his eyes widened seeing a man going to attack the little girl. Before the criminal could whack the girl, a boy, fell from the glass above and began beating him, throwing him out of the window like the man was as light as a football. "You okay Ellie?" Luther asked, looking over her as she continued to ease the hostages, "Pretty good, Number One, thanks to you." She winked at the tall blonde boy as she watched Diego run in.

"Guns are for sissies, real men throw knives." He spat before throwing two of his knives straight at nothing before making them curve a corner to stab a man right in the chest. The robbers were now scared and substantially diminished in numbers. One of them tried to defend himself as he climbed onto the counter, pointing his guns at Allison, Diego, and Klaus. "Get back you freaks!" Making the kids laugh and giggle in his face, making him more scared than he was initially. "Be careful up there buddy." Diego taunted still playing with one of his knives. "Yeah, wouldn't want you to get hurt." this time it was Allison that spoke, stepping closer to him. "Get back now!" He shouted at them. "Or what?" Five appeared next to him out of thin air, his legs crossed as he asked making the startled man shoot at him, but before the bullets could plant themselves in the boy's chest, he disappeared. The feat made the man look behind him to see the same boy, so he began to rapidly pull the trigger, but instead of bullets a handful of tiny staples shot out.

Five smiled at him mockingly "That's one bad-ass stapler." He taunted before slamming the metal thing into the man's head, denting and making it bleed, his body fell in front of Luther and Ellie's feet. "You must be really proud of your boyfriend right now huh?" Luther said to the girl in a teasing tone, earning him a shove from her. "Shut up Luther, you're one to talk. You've been giving Allison googly eyes for years, at least Five's got the balls to ask a girl out." She said walking towards the vault, meeting with the rest of the team. Ben was already in front of the door, he was fidgeting in front of the hostages and his siblings as he zeroed in on the sympathetic look on Ellie's face. "Do I really have to do this?" Ben asked mainly to Luther his eyes swimming with dread. "Come on Ben, there are more guys in the vault." the blonde said, gesturing towards the door, Ben looked to Ellie one last time as she offered him an encouraging smile the expression only making him sigh walking towards the door hopelessly. "I didn't sign up for this." He opened the door and made sure that he locked it firmly behind him. The rest of the team watched as the cloudy glass showed shadows of massive tentacles moving recklessly and dark liquid began to spurt everywhere. After a few seconds, the door opens revealing a blood-soaked Ben. Ellie squeaked out and rushed in front of him to begin wiping his face with her hanky. Ben did not bother to stop her, just watching her focused face as she cleaned him up. "Can we go home now?"
