A flash of the universal red and blue lights often means mortal danger, luckily enough most of those times it means saving a life, the unfortunate end being that death had already run its course and that bodies are lying lifeless somewhere, may it be because of the will of nature or the devilish force of evil. In the case at Griddy's doughnuts, well to put it simply it was a massacre, the police on the sight were nothing but baffled by what they saw, the little diner was destroyed as dead men lay everywhere, each one dying horribly by the looks of it. Drawing conclusion after conclusion they were stumped as each suggestion just confused them more. Oh if only they knew what homicidal tendencies were contained in such unexpected bodies, the little things running amuck the city as they speak.
As far as Ellie knew, Five had a plan. At least that was what she kept on telling herself as she followed him into the building, 'Meritech' written in big bold letters as they walked the halls, the signs led them to a higher floor where they ended up standing in front of a receptionist's desk, the dark skinned woman offering her help, pushing a few buttons at Five's request. The couple waited in the middle of the lobby, hands entwined as Five's other hand held onto the eye. Ultimately a man in a white lab coat, looking confused approached the teenagers. "Can I help you?" his question made his presence known to the pair, Five walking towards him and making the eye visible to the man. "We need to know who this belongs to."
"Where did you get that?"
"Why do you care." This earned the bitter boy an elbow to his ribs, his eyes shot to the girl beside him as she tried to gesture to the man who now sported an even disoriented look, Five finally coming to terms that he had to dial it down. "I... uh found it... whilst me and my wi-- uh girlfriend were on a walk at the park. Must have just popped out." his mistake made Ellie giggle, tightening her hold on his hand. "We'd like to return it to its rightful owner."
"Aww... what a thoughtful young man."
"Yeah, look up the name for me, will ya?" "Five!" Ellie couldn't help but exclaim to scold her husband, smacking him in the chest as she muttered a sorry to the woman that was taken aback by his rude reply to her compliment. Five ignored the girl and faced the man again, his face now completely unimpressed.
"I'm sorry, but patients' records are strictly confidential. That means I can't tell you--"
"Yeah, we know what that means." It didn't take Ellie's powers to sense how annoyed Five currently was, the girl not really in the mood to hold him back, walked towards the counter and propped herself up, not really wanting to be anywhere near Five when he snapped.
"But I can tell you what I can do. I will take the eye off your hands and return it to the owner. I'm sure he or she will be very grateful, so if I can just--"
"You're not touching this eye."
"Now, you listen here young man--" Wrong. Move. Ellie shook her head at the words knowing fully what was gonna happen next, and low and behold Five launched himself grabbing onto the man's collar, a pure look of fear on his face. "No you listen to me asshole. I've come a long way for this, through some shit that your pea brain couldn't even comprehend, so just give me the information I need, and we'll be on our merry way. And if you call me 'young man' one more time. I'm gonna let my wife melt your brain into mush." the last part of his sentence made the man look to the girl sitting on the desk, clearly scared shitless despite the girl giving him a smile.
"Call security." The man called out to the receptionist, "I wouldn't do that if I were you..." Ellie whispered her hand stopping the woman's, one single touch enabled her to see in her brain. "Spiders huh?" Ellie removed her hand only for a swarm of spider to crawl up the woman's arm, making her scream and flail, eventually running away. The girl laughed, hopping down from her seat and going towards Five, the man watched her in bewilderment, terrified despite not really knowing what exactly happened to the receptionist. "Boo!" The girl taunted making the boy beside her laugh and release the man from his hold. "We'll be back mister. Count on that."
