The kitchen was far brighter that day, unfortunately for Luther, he had to deal with it because of Klaus's insistence that they gather over breakfast. The burly man was surly from his hangover and really didn't want to be there, but, Klaus had promised him a relief, so there he was, suffering under the lights, sitting next to Five who gulped down cup after cup of coffee. The boy even stealing the one that Klaus had given him, his protest being swallowed by the overwhelming headache that made his head pound. His remaining strength only able to let him look over to Five who took a sip of his cup.

"Ugh, who do I have to kill for a decent cup of coffee?" Five's voice laced with disgust after taking a sip of the coffee, placing the cup back down on the table knowing that he didn't really have a choice.

"Any one of you seen the others. Diego? Allison? Pix?" Ellie only shook her head no, Klaus dozing off for a moment before he began speaking.

"Okay then, this is the closest to a quorum... That we're gonna get." he declared, while he banged the spatula on the table, making Luther grasp his temples, assaulted by the sound it made. "now, listen up, because frankly, there's no easy way to spit this out. Yeah..." his words drawled out at the end, making the other three, look at each other in anticipation.

"Klaus." Luther began was immediately cut off by the man in question.

"I conjured Dad last night." Klaus admitted, he said that as if he was proud that he had, but wasn't met with the reaction that he was expecting, well, except for Ellie who smiled at him widely. His brothers though wore similar unimpressed expressions, mere signs that they didn't believe him one bit.

"I thought you said you haven't been able to conjure anyone up for years." Luther pointed out, even though Klaus looked dead serious at the moment. Ellie rolled her eyes at the brothers' apprehension 'Some siblings you are' she said in her head.

"Ah, yes, I know, but I'm sober now. Ta-da. I got clean yesterday, to talk someone special, and then ended up having a conversation with dear old Daddy himself." Ellie's smile only got bigger with every word he said, he got her at 'I'm sober.' and she couldn't be prouder of the boy she grew up with. The girl couldn't help but hop down the table and hug the man tightly, Klaus welcomed the gesture and returned the hug, whispering a thanks to the girl's appreciation.

The two Hargreeves who sat at the table didn't quite share the same sentiments as the girl, instead the unimpressed look only intensified. Although there was a hint that they were processing the information, Luther had to ruin the little Faith Ellie had on their humanity.

"Has anyone have some aspirin?" He asked turning to them, disregarding Klaus completely.

"Top shelf, next to the crackers." Five said, piling on to it. His eyes not even meeting the pair they had just ignored. Ellie, did not appreciate that, her scrunched up forehead proof of this and before Luther could stand up Ellie slammed her palm onto the wood.

"Guys, come on, this is serious."

"Yeah, this really happened, I swear." even with Ellie backing him up, the two seemed to still be in a complete state of indifference. Five who now looked at them, only for him to see the stern look that his wife sent him. The girl throwing daggers with her eyes, so he sighed, taking a deep breath before speaking.

"Fine, I'll play. What did the old man have to say?" He said in a sarcastic tone, appeasing Ellie in the very slightest.

"Well, he gave me the usual lecture about my appearance and my failures in life. Yada, yada, yada. No surprise there. Even an afterlife couldn't soften a hardass like that Dad, right?... But he did mention something about his murder, or lack thereof..." this had made the other three stiffen, peaking their interest by a hundred, three pairs of eyes now fixated on Klaus. "... because he killed himself." His words began to diminish until it was reduced to a mere whisper, but there was no doubt that they still heard him.

"I don't have time for your games Klaus." Luther told him, standing up, preparing to exit the room. But, Klaus was uncharacteristically determined to convince them that he was telling the truth.

"Why'd he do it the?" Five countered, catching the attention of his siblings.

"he said it was the only way he could get us all home."

"Dad would never kill himself."

"Ah, but you said it yourself. He was depressed. Holed up in his office and room, day and night."

Ellie decided to zone them out, knowing fully that they were gonna continue arguing about the situation. They may not have been related by blood but with their giant egos and the single brain cell they all share, you would think they were. She picked up the bag of marshmallows on the table and nibbled on a few before Pogo came in to interrupt the altercation.

"Master Klaus is right." The chimp declared, the four of them looking to him as he spoke unannounced. "Regretfully... I helped master Hargreeves enact his plan." he admitted, his eyes looking down ashamed of the deception he played upon them.

"What?" Luther asked softly, but with a certain edge to his tone. The confusion and betrayal intertwining, twisting and tugging at his heart. Pogo looked up at Number one to see the broken look on his face before continuing his confession.

"So did Grace. It was a difficult choice for the both of us. More difficult than you could ever know. Prior to your Father's death, Grace's programming was adjusted, so that she was incapable of administering first aid on that fateful night." While the butler spoke, the Hargreeves were nothing but stunned, each one looking as if they were about to puke. Luther, seemed like he was gonna go ape shit on the chimp. Klaus breathed out deeply stretching out his arms. Five grabbed his wife and situated her on his lap "Sick bastard..." He whispered before digging his nose into Ellie's neck and breathing in her scent.

"So, the security tape we saw?" Asked Luther, anger now clearly present in his voice as he spoke to Pogo.

"It was meant to further the murder mystery. Your father hoped that being back here... and solving it together... would reignite your desire to be a team again." Pogo's confession continued on. This time being interjected by Five.

"To what end?" The boy scoffed, tightening his embrace on the girl in his lap.

"to save the world of course." The chimps only earning a sarcastic laugh from both Ellie and Klaus. But Luther, Luther only descended in the depression brought about with the slew of information that was being dropped on top of them.

"First the moon, and now this... You watched me search for answers and said nothing." The big man accused the butler. "Anything else you want to tell us? Any more secrets?" He continued his assault, his voice getting louder and harsher. His brothers and sister-in-law getting concerned that he was about to blow his top off.

"Luther calm down." Ellie tried to tell him but was dismissed by the man.

"I won't Elle. We've been lied to by the only person in this family we trusted." He countered, not taking his gaze off of Pogo.

"It was your father's dying wish, Master Luther. I had no choice."

"There's always a choice." That was the last thing that Luther said before walking out of the room. Pogo following after him, leaving the other three in the kitchen. All of them pondering deeper on the entire thing. Five stayed in the position he was in for the past few minutes, sighing before muttering under his breath.

"I gotta think." And in another flash of lights the couple was gone, the lone thought of the death of Reginald Hargreeves weighing heavy on their hearts and mind. Some sick bastard he really was.
