Stiles was checking his phone while driving, which definitely wasn't illegal, to see if Scott had got the bullet yet. By the way he slammed his phone down though, I'm guessing he hasn't.
"Try not to bleed out on my seats." Stiles sneered and I glared at him but he ignored me. "We're almost there."
"Almost where?" Derek managed to breathe out. "Your house." Stiles answered but Derek shot up at this.
"What? No, you can't take me there." He exclaimed and I interjected. "We can't take you to your own house?"
"Not when I can't protect myself." He answered me. Stiles parked the Jeep up on the side of the road making both me and Derek confused.
"What if Scott doesn't find your little magic bullet, huh? Are you dying?" His voice was raised but Derek didn't even flinch, or make eye contact for that matter.
"Not yet. I have a last resort." Derek responded in his same, worn out voice.
"What last resort?" My voice was much more sympathetic than Stiles'.Derek lifted up his sleeve to reveal the bullet wound in his arm that had blood leaking out of it. "Is that contagious? You should probably just get out." Stiles looked away, turning more pale than usual.
"Start the car, now." Derek ordered but Stiles was having none of it. "If I wanted to, I could probably drag your little werewolf ass out in the middle of the road and leave you for dead!"
"Start the car, or I'm gonna rip your throat out with my teeth." I gulped and slapped Stiles on the head so he would start the car up. He finally did and we were back on the road.
It was now dark and Stiles finally decided to call Scott. "What are we supposed to do with him?" Stiles asked through gritted teeth. "Take him somewhere, anywhere!" Scott's voice was panicked.
"And by the way, he's starting to smell." Stiles sighed. "Like what?" Scott asked so I leaned forward and answered, "Like death." Derek glared and I sat back down.
Stiles passed the phone to Derek after suggesting taking him to the animal clinic. Soon enough, Derek passed the phone back to Stiles and we were heading towards Scott's workplace.
We went round the back and opened up a shed that was full of spare things for the animals. Derek sat down on one of the bags and Stiles' phone rang.
"Does Nordic blue monkshood mean anything to you?" The words were foreign to my ears but Derek knew. "It's a rare form of Wolfsbane, he's gotta bring me the bullet."
"Why?" Stiles questioned to which I rolled my eyes at. "Because I'm gonna die without it."
I pushed the doors open of the next part of the animal clinic and turned on the lights. Derek stumbled in and rested his wounded arm on the metal table.
"You know that doesn't look like good night sleeps gonna fix." I slapped Stiles for his sarcasm. "If the infection reaches my heart, it'll kill me." Derek muttered more to himself than us.
"Come on Derek, at least try and think positive." I said but he ignored me and started rummaging through the cupboards.
"If he doesn't get here in time, then me move to the last resort." Derek breathed out. "Which is?" Me and Stiles asked in sync.
"You're gonna cut off my arm."
Me and Stiles looked at each other in horror and disgust but Derek still slid the tool over to us. "What if you bleed out." I asked quite panicked that we may kill a man.
"It'll heal if it works." He said tying some string over his bicep. "Look I don't know if I can't do this." Stiles said sounding like he was in the verge of tears.
"Why not?" Derek asked so me and Stiles started listing things.
"Well there's the cutting of the flesh""The sawing of the bone!"
"And especially the blood!" Stiles finished.
"You faint of the site of blood?" Derek asked, clearly pissed off. "No, but I might at the site of a chopped off arm!"
"Ok how about this, either you cut off my arm or I'm gonna cut off your head." Derek said panting but Stiles wasn't buying it. "I'm so not buying your threats anymore."
Derek pulled Stiles by his shirt and bring their faces so they were only a couple of inches apart. Stiles agreed and Derek leant over the side and puked black blood.
"Oh my god, what the hell is that?" My voice squeaked through. "It's my body, it's trying to heal itself." Derek answered, still hunched over.
"Now, you gotta do it now." His eyes flickered back and forth between me and Stiles.
"Look, honestly, I don't think I can." Stiles fanned his face so he didn't pass out. "Just do it!" I jumped and picked up the tool before Stiles could. "Ok! Ok, I'll do it."
Stiles turned the other way while in placed the blade on his arm. Before I could cut though, Scott burst in the room and we sighed with relief.
"You just prevented us a life time of nightmares." Stiles nervously chuckled.
Scott pulled out the bullet from his pocket. Derek took it but soon passed out on the floor making the bullet roll down the drain.Scott rushed over to the drain while me and Stiles knelt down to help Derek. "I think he's dying! I think he's dead!" Stiles hyperventilated while I tried to calm him down.
Scott somehow got the bullet out and screamed in happiness. "Please don't kill me for this." Stiles then punched Derek, which woke him up but hurt his hand in the process.
We helped to the table and he took the bullet apart, spreading something on the table. He then lit it on fire, making blue flames shoot out of it. When the spark went, he scooped the substance up and plunged it into his wound.
He screamed in pain while we could only watch in horror. Stiles grabbed my hand as he felt to the ground withering in pain.
His arm slowly started to heal and his screaming died down, making us relax slightly. "That was awesome!" Stiles did a little fist bump in the air so I slapped him round the head.
Derek stood up slowly and glared at Stiles and he took a step back. "We saved your life, now your gonna leave us alone. You got that?" Scott's voice was firm.
"And if you don't I'm gonna go and tell Allison's dad everything. Besides, they're a whole lot nicer than you are." Scott stated in that same voice.
"You want me to show you how nice they are?" Derek said with his glare now fixed on Scott. "What do you mean?"
