Stiles dropped me home as soon as we left Lydia's house. My mind was all over the place filled with questions that, once again, I didn't know the answer to.

I sighed and looked over at the picture on my bedside table. It was a picture of a little girl, three years old to be exact, grinning up at her laughing parents who were staring lovingly into each other's eyes.

They looked so complete, just like any family should be. But as the saying goes, nothing lasts forever. At least at that moment, they were happy.

I stared at the women the longest. Her bronze skin was glistening as the sun hit it. Her dark brown eyes bore into the man's grey ones. They were lit up with happiness as he looked at his flawless wife.

My eyes then flickered down to the little girl they were both holding. Her small hands were placed on her father's beaming face while her head was leant on her mother's shoulder.

Her bright yellow sundress was down to her knees and her hair was filled with all types of flowers that her father had been making into a crown for her.

At tear fell onto the frame as I once again looked at the women. My mother. She was so kind and caring to everyone but her life was cut short. She didn't deserve it, if anything, it should've been me that day.

I slid down the wall, no longer holding in my sobs, and let the tears flow uncontrollably. The picture was pushed against my fast beating heart and my eyes fluttered shut before closing for the night.

Stiles knocked on my door in the morning unexpectedly and picked me up for school. He told me he was mad at Scott because his dad had got hurt at the conference last night. A mountain lion was spotted in the parking lot but was gun downed, luckily, by Mr Argent.

"So, are you ok?" Stiles asked me randomly as we sat down in our seats. The classroom was empty because for once we were early. "Me, I'm fine Stiles, why you asking?"

He chuckled lightly before answering, "First of all, your not making eye contact with me, and second of all, you were really quiet in the car, so what's up?" I looked up at him for the first time this morning with a neutral face.

"Just... reminiscing." I answered, breaking the contact so I didn't have to see his face full of pity. He put a hand on my shoulder and gave it a comforting squeeze.

He took his hand away though when Scott entered the room. He took a seat behind us and huffed when Stiles didn't turn around to greet him like usual. Trying to keep the peace, I gave Scott a small wave, and he returned it.

"Still not talking to me?" Stiles remained facing the front. Scott sighed before trying again. "Can you at least tell me if your dad's ok?" But again, Stiles didn't move.

"I'm trying to figure this out, I even went to Derek for help." Stiles' nostrils flared before answering him. "If I was talking to you, I'd say you're an idiot for trusting him."

The bell rang signalling the start of lesson. Stiles shut his eyes and sighed before turning around and asking Scott what happened. Scott smirked and I smiled softly at my two friends.

Class finally ended and I walked out with the boys. Not in a talking mood, I put my headphones in and listened to music, drowning out the boys and their ramblings about Derek.

I saw Stiles walk away so I took my headphones out and turn to Scott. "Where's he going?" Scott turned to me and gave me a shrug. "No idea."

I sat down at the table Allison and Lydia were eating lunch at and joined their conversation. "The what of who?" Lydia asked Allison with her green eyes narrowed.

"The Beast of Gevaudan." Allison began to explain what it was while me and Lydia listened very uninterested. "Boring" But Allison continued. "Still boring." But once again, she resumed. "Slipping into a coma bored."

I chuckled at her but Allison seemed to ignore her. "The hunters who killed the Beast was called Argent." Allison said with a proud smile and I nodded my head and smiled at her.

Allison flipped the book over so me an Lydia could see a picture of this wolf. As soon as I set my eyes on it, l immediately recognised it. It was the Alpha.

Lydia stared at the picture for a while, like she was in a trance. Allison's voice snapped her out of it and she looked up at us back to normal. "See you in history." She shot us a sweet smile and left.

Allison continued to read the book to me while I pretended to listen. I saw Stiles and Scott head out of the cafeteria and Allison packed up her stuff, chasing after Scott.

I stood up as well and exited to see Allison outside the boys bathroom, probably where Scott was. I walked up to her and gave her a sad smile. She gave me one back and we walked to class.
