This time, (Y/n) woke up before L did, immediately noticing how close she was to the detective. The fact that she was even in the same bed as the detective was a mystery to the girl. She carefully removed her hand from the back of his head and scooted out of the bed, careful not to wake him. She tiptoed to the bathroom and flicked the light on, quietly gasping as she saw her reflection in the mirror. She had forgotten that she was wearing L's clothing.

She washed her face and ran back to the bedroom, looking for the bag she had put her clothes in. "Where is it?" she mumbled to herself, practically tearing the room apart. (Y/n) heard rustling come from the bed; she looked over and saw L crouched on the bed. "Morning," he said, looking over at the girl. "Did you move my clothes?" she asked, disregarding what he said.

"I gave them to be cleaned," he responded, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

Shit. Seriously L?

He couldn't have asked first?

"You did what?" she asked, glaring at the man.

"They're getting cleaned," he repeated.

"And you didn't think to ask me?"

"I didn't think you'd care."

"L, I don't have any other clothes. What am I supposed to wear?"

"Just wear that."

"These are your clothes, not mine. The others will notice."

"So?"

"So they'll think something is going on between the two of us."

"(Y/n), it's pretty obvious you aren't fond of me. I doubt the thought will cross their mind."

"Fine."

She didn't want to argue with him anymore, no matter how annoyed she was with him. He never failed to get on her nerves; it was just the way he was. For some reason, however, she enjoyed the constant bickering between the two of them. It was almost fun.

"Come now, (Y/n)," L said, standing up from the bed, "Watari made breakfast. It would be rude not to let him in."

The team had watched the same video at least ten times over and still had nothing. L didn't seem to mind, however, because he was eating his "breakfast."

"You know, detective," (Y/n) said to him, "ice cream is not breakfast."

He shrugged and continued to eat the cone.

"(Y/n), are you wearing Ryuzaki's clothes?" Soichiro asked her. She glanced down at her clothing, over to L, and then back at Light's father.

"No, I-"

"Let's see the following scenes again," L interrupted, keeping his eyes on the TV, "Raye Penber passing the ticket gate on his way in, then him boarding the train, and finally the part where he dies on the platform."

"Okay, let's see," Aizawa grumbled. (Y/n) could tell he was tired of watching the video -- they all were.

Matsuda grabbed a paper and started reading, "Um, so based on the records I have here, Raye Penber comes through the west entrance of Shinjuku Station at 3:11 pm. Then at 3:13, he boards a train on the Yamanote Line.

Bur even if he was following someone at that time, I think it's going to be very difficult for us to draw any real conclusions from the blurry video. Then at exactly 4:42 PM, a--"

Watari handed him an ice cream cone, to which he smiled and accepted it.

"Thank you Watari," he said to the old man before he went and handed the rest of the team cones.
