"Tae-Tae, someone's after us."
When the guy you slapped turned out to be something you never expected.
Hey, past self!
I'm from the future. Haha.
Um, this is still awkward.
Remember how I used to think that my past is one day going to come and bite...

The doorbell to her hotel room rang just in time for her to head out.
Hyein pulled open her door to find a smiling Taehyung waiting for her outside with an enthusiastic smile. Hyein frowned. What was he so happy about? Yesterday he was all out of it and just went back to sleep. He didn't even talk to her. She couldn't ask him either. He had looked so out of it, she let him be. Now, there he was smiling so brightly as if nothing happened.
"Hye! Are you ready? Let's go!" He exclaimed.
"You look excited. Did you find a solution?" She asked.
Taehyung shook his head smiling. "No I didn't, but I will find it. Now come on."
Hyein stepped out of her room and closed the door, her room no. 1504 gleaming in the light. Taehyung's was just the opposite of hers, room no.1505. She turned towards him and he took her hand in his. Since no one from the company was around, she let him.
"Did you eat breakfast?" He asked as they waited by the elevator for it to come up.
"No, I don't have much of an appetite," Hyein replied skeptically. He never asked her about her breakfast. Usually, he just took her to a restaurant and he didn't care whether she ate or not, he would insist that she eat with him. But this time, Taehyung only nodded his head. The elevator opened up and they got inside. Hyein looked towards him. Taehyung was still smiling. She looked closer. It didn't look right. His smile seemed forced as if he was mentally putting in an effort to keep the smile there and his eyes remained dark, none of its genuine light in them.
"Are you okay?" Hyein asked.
Taehyung turned to her, surprised at her question. His smile slowly faded as the mask crumbled and his face turned blank. He bit his lip. He couldn't keep the pretense. She saw right through it. He clenched his teeth.
Hyein didn't know the first thing about comforting people. She never had to. It was usually she who received comfort from others. She was stuck. What should I do?
Hesitantly, she brought her hands to his shoulders and patted him slowly. She didn't know what she was doing, but patting him usually worked most of the time. Taehyung squinted his eyes at her hand, "Is that the only thing you know?"
"It works every time. It was worth a try." She replied shrugging.
"It doesn't work anymore," he replied. Hyein folded her hands, a daring look upon her face.
"Oh, really? Then why are you smiling now?"
Taehyung was smiling? He hadn't realized. She was right. Taehyung didn't know why.
Or perhaps he did know.
It wasn't her patting that had made him smile. It was the crease on her forehead as she patted him. The way she pursed her lips and patted him gently and reluctantly as if he was a ticking time bomb.
It was the way she made a pat seem like rocket science that had made him smile.
It was funny that he was smiling at something so simple. It was funny something so simple could make him smile.
The elevator dinged and the doors slid open. As they stepped outside a figure came bounding down the lobby, his fluffy bangs bouncing with each step and his feline smile replaced with a one that was excited, bunch of papers in his hands.
"Brother! Hear me out, I have an idea!"
And before Hyein could realize what was happening he took hold of Taehyung's hand and ran out of there to somewhere, leaving her behind with her mouth hanging open.
What was that?!
Jimin and Taehyung together? That didn't seem too realistic. The brothers couldn't stand each other for five seconds. The same goes true for his third brother, Jeon Jungkook.
Hyein walked out of the building and headed for the restaurant shaking her head. Maybe, she did have an appetite after all.
