23. Questions

The (smol) boy introduces himself, "Nishinoya Yuu, but you can call me Noya, nice to meet you!"

I can already tell he's just a ball of energy.

"Sugawara Koushi, just call me Suga though." I smile.

"Sa-" Daichi starts, but gets interrupted.

"Wait lemme guess.." Noya pauses, "If thats Suga, then you must be Daichi?"

(Author: Let's just say Asahi told Noya about them lmao)

Daichi smiles, "Yep."

Well I guess they're polar opposites then.

"Geez you seem more energetic than usual." Asahi laughs.

"Really?" Noya pauses, "Well my grandpa did let me have some of his coffee today."

(Author: wowwwww)

"How much is some?"

"I drank all of it."

"How much is all of it?"

"It was in his 32 oz travel mug."

Is that even healthy? I'm concerned.

Asahi looks at Noya, "That's a concerning amount of coffee."

"Oh well." Noya shrugs.

I have questions.. but I can't ask all of them.

"Okay wait.. I have three questions." I start.

"I have one question for you two too, but you go first." Asahi says.

"Number 1, when?"

"A month ago?" Noya answers.

Asahi nods.

"Number 2, how?"

"I was walking through a park on my way home, and Noya rolling thundered into me." Asahi laughs, nervously.

(Author: I'm convinced that rolling thunder is a verb and no one can tell me anything different)

"Adding onto number 2, what's rolling thunder?"

"It's just a rolling receive that I decided to name." He laughs.

"And number 3, you mentioned receives. What position do you play Noya?"

"Libero!" He says, excitedly. "Do you two play volleyball?"

Daichi and I both nod.

"Cool! We should go to the park and play a game, 2 on 2." He suggests, excitedly.

We did just get out of volleyball practice, but that actually sounds really fun.

"I'm free." I shrug.

"Well it wouldn't be a 2 on 2 if we didn't all go, so sure." Daichi says.

"Well, I was already planning on going so.." Asahi laughs.

"Wait.. we don't have a ball though." I mention.

"I have one in my bag." Noya says as he starts walking in the direction of the park.

Asahi sighs and laughs, "Of course you do."

On the way to the park, Noya runs ahead.

(Author: Caffeinated Noya is something I want to see)

"So.. 2 months?" Asahi asks.

I almost forgot about that.

"Oh.. ummm.. yeah." I hesitate.

"How'd you find out?"

Oh lord.

"Long story." Daichi nervously laughs, "Let's save it for another time."

"Yeah.." I nervously laugh with him.

At the park:

When we arrive, Noya's already there.

"You three took long enough." He says as he tosses a volleyball up in the air.

How do you pick fair teams in a 2 on 2? Especially when soulmates exist. Do you go with pair against pair? Or do you pick randomly?

In this case, we decide to go with pair against pair. So Daichi and I against Asahi and Noya.

I don't know if this is fair. A libero and a wing spiker versus a wing spiker and a setter. I think it's obvious which team is more balanced.

(Author: I don't think I've seen Asahi set before, and Noya didn't learn to jump set until his second year of high school. So I'm just gonna assume that neither of them are great at setting at this point in time)

I guess there's only one way to find out.

1) Question: Ennotana or Tanakiyo? (I'm leaning more towards Ennotana and Kiyoyachi but idk)

1.5) With Ennotana and Kiyoyachi, no one would be alone. But with Tanakiyo, Ennoshita and Yachi would be alone.
