Sleepy House

Sleepy house

It was all quiet throughout the street

Nobody stirred through the houses

All lights were off

Except one

Within was a girl with tear stained cheeks

Cupping her hands over her mouth

Not wanting to wake her parents in the room next door

She slowly curled up into a ball as a fresh wave of tears came

She was looking patiently at her phone on the floor

Waiting for a friend to reply to her call of sadness

Just waiting, hoping for someone to reply

So she wouldn't so alone

But none came

Soon morning came

And the girl had hardly slept

The house was soon filled with the happiness and movement before the family went out for work.

The girl sighed as she checked her phone

Her friend had just seen the message and was worrying

It was too late now

She was trying to put a happy face on.

Soon the night came again

The cycle continues
