You're Not Alone

You're not alone.

She feels alone, no one to turn to or talk to

Away in her room with music on to block out her tears

She covers her mouth and tries to catch her breath

She's tired of crying tired of lying

She wants to be happy but feels she can't

Whenever she is it seems to be taken away in a split second

She reaches out for her tissues and clears her face

She grabs the concealer to cover the bags under her eyes from sleepless nights

She re applies her mascara and brushes out her hair

She turns to the mirror and hates what she sees

She wishes she were smaller and prettier

She fakes a smile as she opens her door

She walks silently down the stairs hoping to go unnoticed

She smiles at everyone who walks past hiding her pain

No one sees her pain

No one notices her sadness

As far as people know she is fine nothing's wrong but if only they knew how she was really doing

If only she knew she wasn't alone, and people are out there that will listen to her and will understand her
