"Sorry about the bite. I reckon that twinges a bit." Sirius said as he and Carina helped carry Ron down the stairs of the Shrieking Shack.

"A bit? A bit?! You almost tore my leg off!" Ron whined as Carina rolled her eyes. "Oh, stop complaining, Ronald!" She scolded as Ron only grumbled in silence as a response. "Well, I was going for the rat. Normally, I have a very sweet disposition as a dog." Sirius spoke grinning at Carina who only gave a small smile in return. That is true.

"In fact, more than once, James and Artemis suggested I make the change permanent." Well, I agree to that. "Merlin, Those two were really close, y'know. Almost like siblings." Carina smiled widely at that happy that her mother and Harry's father had a close friendship. "Now the tail I could live with. But the fleas, they're murder." He finished. The grin still on his lips as his shining grey eyes locked with Carina's own ones.

For the first time, for the first ever time, Carina finally looked into her father's eyes, no longer feeling scared of him. He was a person, a human and not a complete murderous lunatic. He wasn't a madman, albeit dramatic. She even started to feel a bit of admiration bubbling up inside of her. He too was loyal and true to his friends just like she was. He seemed like a great man and she desperately wanted to get to know him. Even though, she still harbors a feeling of wariness and hesitation. Yes, he was her father, but everything seems so unexpected now.

She does not know him at all.

In fact, she still didn't know how to act towards the man.

She tore her eyes quickly away from him, looking to her bloodied bandaged right arm instead.

The blood seeped through the white fabric covering it whole, but thankfully, the bleeding had finally stopped and dried like cement. It was cakey. She had most definitely lost quite a lot of blood and was feeling completely light-headed.

Honestly, she didn't even know how she was still standing upright. She's got to hand it to herself. Must be the adrenaline from after all of that... Chaotic and frenzied mess they got pulled in just the same as the past last two years.
