It seemed that it was going to be the end of Hermione and Ron's friendship. The two were so furious with each other that Harry and Carina couldn't even bring the two to talk and to rekindle their relationship.

Ron was taking the piss at Hermione for not taking Scabber's eating disorder seriously.

Hermione was furious at Ron saying that there was no proof that Crookshanks, had indeed, eaten Scabbers.

Harry thought that Crookshanks had eaten Scabbers which resulted in Hermione being angry with Harry too.

Carina was pissed at the lot of them for inflicting migraines on her and the ravenette tried her best to not take sides and to console them all, deep down though she believed that, even if Crookshanks had eaten the wretched rat it was still a good riddance.

Seeing that Carina had despised the long worm for a tail since the very beginning. Honestly.

Still, a part of her has felt some sympathy for Ron who had taken the loss of his rat very hard. She didn't know how she would feel if she lost her trusted pet and companion, her very own barn owl, Apollo. "Come on, Ron, you always moaned about how boring Scabbers was," Fred said trying his best to comfort his little brother as they all munched on their delicious breakfast, except Ron who surprisingly, didn't eat and was instead staring down gloomily at his plate on the Gryffindor table in the Great hall.

"Besides, the rat's been off-color for ages, he was wasting away. One swallow from a cat. He probably didn't feel a thing." Carina had to agree with that one.

"Fred!" Ginny exclaimed from beside Carina.

He ignored her. "All he did was eat and sleep, Ron, you said it yourself," Added George.

"But he bit Goyle for us once!" Ron moaned rather miserable. "Remember, Harry? Rina?"

"That's true." Harry said as Carina only gave a curt nod focusing on slicing into her chocolate spread covered pancakes. "His finest hour!" Fred exclaimed, unable to keep himself from laughing as Carina gave a loud unladylike snort. "Let the scar on Goyle's finger stand as a lasting tribute to his memory!" Carina was desperately trying to hold in her laughter and keep the bite of pancake in her mouth from falling out.
