MULTIPLE DAYS PASSED AFTER THE FIGHT WITH KALEB AND THE CALL WITH SAPNAP. Veda came out of her shell of guilt with the help of Micah, Kacey, her mom, Sapnap, and Dream. Now realization was upon her shoulders, dense and relentless. To be quite honest, it made her more angry than anything.

She had to try hard not to be angry with herself; with her friends reminding her that Kaleb was the one at fault, it became easy. Breaking up with him for once and all would not be an effortless task, but it was not an option at this point.

The worst part of it all was that Veda knew it would have to be done alone. So, getting it over with, she texted him to meet her at her house at five in the afternoon on a Saturday evening. When it rolled around, when his car pulled up, Veda was sitting patiently for him. Beside her on the front porch was a cardboard box, his clothes he had left there inside.

Just the sight of his smile-stricken face made her stomach churn, and as it approached, she rose to face it.

"Hey," Kaleb greeted.

"Hi." Her voice was hoarse, courage but shallow fear written on it.

"You wanted to talk?"

"Well, you were the one who said we would talk. And now I know what I want to say."

Her stance on the stair in front of him gave her leverage, seeing eye to eye with him, embracing her bravery.

"Go right on ahead."

"Ok. I'm—I'm breaking up with you."

His face fell, like a soldier who realized he had to surrender. Hope drained from his eyes, and in its place, a dark feeling rose.

"You're what?"

"I don't think I should have to repeat myself. I'm done succumbing to your bullshit."

Now Kaleb physically moved, taking a step back.

"My bullshit? You must be kidding. You don't even know half of how I feel—"

She cut him off. "That's ok. I don't need to know how you feel because we are no longer together. And yes, I am going to address your bullshit. Because frankly, Kaleb, you and I—we both know that the bullshit was yours all along. You manipulated me as a fucking sixteen year old while you were a senior in highschool.
