ⵢ₊˚ IN WHICH. . . the two of them finally meet.
────────────────────VEDA BLINKED ONCE, THEN TWICE, THEN ANOTHER TIME. She couldn't believe her eyes. Standing in front of her was the man she was just on the phone with; the same exact man who lived hours away from her. Her jaw couldn't seem to get off the floor.
"You're..."
Sapnap began laughing, cheeks flushed.
"...you're here."
"I am, yeah."
The second she actually registered what happened, she sprung forward, leaping onto him with full force. It knocked him back a bit, but he didn't hesitate to wrap his arms right back around her and nuzzle his face into her neck.
"How are you here?" she uttered, heart pounding out of her chest so hard they could both feel it.
"I told you I had a surprise for you, didn't I?"
They both laughed, harmonious and as joyful as ever, bodies still mushed together. Her arms held his neck tightly, feeling the soft edges of his grown out hair brushing on her forearms. He held her legs firmly, supporting her against him.
It was just as heavenly as he imagined. Everything about her was celestial, even if he had just met her. But he noticed something.
"You know, for someone who never told me their height, you're much shorter than I expected," he whispered into her ear. She continued a fit of giggles that was none other than music to his ears.
Both of her parents watched from inside with wide smiles at their merry daughter, and Jamie had come downstairs out of no where. After over a minute of holding each other, Veda's feet met the ground again. Seeing his face so real was abnormal to her, so abnormal that she couldn't keep her eyes off him. Her face was sparkling so magnificently that they all could've sworn she was glowing.
"Come on in!" Veda's mom exclaimed, motioning both of them indoors. They followed suit.
"Did you know about this?" Veda pondered, staring at her family. Both of her parents smirked and Jamie busted out into snickers.
"I may or may not of told everyone about it but you. I mean you were pretty shocked, so I'd say I did a good job," the Texas boy admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.
