DAY IN AND DAY OUT, IT FELT LIKE, THE TWO HAD BEEN DRIVING. You see, when Sapnap realized that his girlfriend's birthday was coming up, he wanted to get her exactly what she wanted. So, when he asked Veda just what her wishlist consisted of, she said she wanted to try skiing.

An odd request, but Sapnap didn't doubt it for one second. After all, the two had been together for nearly a year and four months. Once he found out she wanted to ski, he got to planning immediately; found a resort to stay at in Colorado, and from there, it was just the road trip. First he flew to New Orleans and stayed there for a night, then he surprised her with the reservations.

Turning twenty was a big deal for her, and Sapnap himself was freshly twenty-one, so obviously he had to go all out. She expected nothing less, for ever since their relationship began all they were to each other was extra.

Veda agreed to drive the first day, a long ten hours of sailing from highway to highway. But with Sapnap in the passenger seat and honeyed symphonies blasting from the speakers, it never really felt too bad. They stayed in a hotel for a night, and now they were finishing up their second day of driving. It was even longer than the first, specifically for the man behind the wheel.

An energy drink keeping him awake, Sapnap's left hand loosely held the wheel. The interstate had never felt so endless. While his free hand resided on Veda's thigh, she did her part to keep his eyes open by drawing shapes up and down his arm. The rule between them was that the passenger got AUX, so she chose a more soothing vibe when it came to song picks.

"We're only an hour away, are you excited?" he questioned, looking at his phone's GPS holstered up on his dashboard.

"Hell yeah, I'm excited! It's gonna be insane, just think of all the things we can do."

"You mean things on the slopes or in our room?" Sapnap replied, a playful grin on his face as he glanced at her in his peripheral.

Veda rolled her eyes, turning to look at the window. In her reflection, she noticed him staring at her; probably just to see if she was blushing.

"Neither of us have ever seen this much snow. I hope we packed stuff prepared for the cold," she changed the subject.

Sapnap scoffed. "Dude, the entire trunk is stuffed, and there's only two of us. We packed for every temperature imaginable."

"Yeah, yeah, ok. Excuse me for being careful," she said, ruffling her hair before it got the chance to fall in her eyes.

"I'm just messing around. God, my legs hurt."

"We can take a rest stop or you can push through, it's up to you." She brought his hand up to her mouth to kiss its exterior, and he naturally drew it back to her inner thigh.

"I'll push through. All I know is I'm gonna sleep hella good tonight."

Veda nodded, turning up the radio once more. The window was half down, reckless wind blowing through each and every wave on her head. "Night Ride" by The Growlers blasted, the rhythm seemingly perfect for the mood of the road trip. Hell, the name itself matched up with the darkening sky ahead of the lengthy road.

She could feel his hands tapping out the beat against her leggings, a simple but effective show of affection. In the year or so they had been together, they eventually told the public.

It was a bit of a pandemonium for awhile, but hate was never something Veda got affected by in the first place. After all, her platform never stopped growing. Though she never got around to making a YouTube, her Twitch had over 1.2 million followers.

Sapnap had stayed by her side no matter what. As did all her friends, but him especially. Not once did his constant care for her falter, and she was the same way with him. Even the fans could observe that they were a match made in heaven, the yin to the other's yang.

And it would stay that way.

Sometimes Veda wished she could've noticed how exquisite he was earlier than she did; perhaps that would've cured the everlasting effects of the previous man who wounded her. But now, she saw that time did not matter like it did now. Sapnap, without even trying, had healed her battle scars from Kaleb.

He had showed her the love she deserved, and in return, he had been given the same thing.

So whatever you wish to say about the two—whether you call them soulmates, twin flames, or anything similar enough—it is true.

You see, love is thought to be hard to find, like a needle in a haystack. But the love shared between Veda and Sapnap was one that they did not necessarily go looking for. Rather, the universe gave it to them.

And my, what a beautiful thing it had turned out to be.
