"He just vanished. Without a trace?" Amari muttered as she looked through the files laid out on the table before them.

"It seems after his supposed death, everything the family had tied to him, namely his trust, vanished the day before his death. Not after." Derek walked around with the family accounts in his hands.

Spencer nodded, "It was all transferred to Owen, but he was only able to access it when he turned twenty four. The same year Lincoln turned eighteen."

"So Lincoln got the money after returning from wherever he was and they started planning? Well, if Owen is thirty three then Lincoln must be twenty seven." Amari concluded.

Derek nodded, "With nine years of planning, you'd think they'd be more careful."

"Unless they didn't plan for this." Emily cut in. "What if Lincoln came back simply because he wanted a life? The killing of Victoria Mendel was simply the rage that had been building up inside of him a long time spilling over."

"That makes sense. We just have to find out what he's been doing since he turned eighteen. That way we'll find him." Aaron replied.

"There is one thing we're missing." Amari spoke.

"What?" Derek asked.

"Penelope Garcia." Amari grinned.

The rest of the day had passed and no new leads had come up, no new bodies had been discovered and everyone's patience was running thin.

"We have his brother in custody, we know he's palive, why is it so damn difficult to find him?" Aaron growled as he slammed his fist harshly on the table.

"Calm down Aaron." Mari placed her hand on his shoulder. "We'll find him."

Aaron nodded, "For now, everyone get some rest, we'll be back at this bright and early tomorrow morning."

One by one the team vacated the conference room they had spent the past few days holed up in, until it was just Amari left in there.

She was going over Lincoln's file one more time, but was interrupted by a light knock at the door. She lifted her head up and smiled when she saw Derek leaning against the door.

"You coming?"

Mari shrugged, "I just thought maybe we'd missed something."

Derek walked to stand next to her, "It's no use going over it now. We've poured over it the whole day, if we were to find something, it would have been found by now."

Amari covered her mouth as she yawned. "Yeah, you're right."

Derek smiled and wrapped an arm around her. She rested her head on his shoulder and yawned again.
