One month later.

"That was a doozy." Penelope pulled Amari in for a hug as soon as the team walked out of the elevator.

It was one of her favorite moments at the end of a case—seeing her team walk out of those shiny silver doors, either big smiles or grim looks on their pretty faces.

Amari offered her a small smile, "It sure was. We couldn't have done it without you though."

"And me." Aaron commented from behind her, nudging her with his shoulder as he walked past.

Amari smiled and rolled her eyes, "Of course, your highness. I would never forget you." She drawled, unconsciously following him along to his office as she teased him.

Aaron ignored her mocking tone and smirked. "That's more like it."

He walked in, Amari following him when he walked straight back out, his face covered in confusion and minor shock.

"Uh, Chase is in my office." He mumbled, staring straight into Amari's eyes.

"Excuse me?"

Aaron rubbed the side of his face and sighed, "Your boyfriend is in my office. Deal with it and get him out of there." He growled.

Amari nodded and Aaron let her inside, closing the door behind them and walking away. He walked all the way into Gideon's office, finding him packing all his stuff into boxes.

"So this retirement thing is really happening, huh?" Aaron asked him as he flopped onto Gideon's couch, grabbing a cushion and hugging it to him.

Gideon nodded, "Yup. Thinking of taking a road trip or going to the cabin or something." He placed his plaques in a box and then turned around to look at Aaron. "Why exactly are you here?"

"Chase Adair is in my office with Amari." Aaron replied.

Gideon stopped what he was doing and leaned against his desk as he stared at Aaron. "Why?" He asked and furrowed his brows.

Aaron shrugged and snuggled into the pillow, "I just want him out of here and my office back."

"Yeah, I don't like him either." Gideon agreed with him.

"We having a little party?" Derek flashed the two men his signature grin as he sauntered inside.

"Am I invited?" Spencer asked as he followed after him.
