A/n: Rough edit

I got an apartment! Two bedrooms two bathrooms. It's only twenty minutes from the university I'm applying to and there's an elementary school for Kayson down the street.
I went to look at it, signed the lease, and got the keys yesterday. It's so cute. I can't wait to decorate!
I'm only taking the important stuff with me, stuff that can fit in my car. Everything else I have to buy. Which I don't mind. I need a fresh start.
I'm going to start packing today and since it's officially my eighteenth birthday I'm going to start working on getting custody of Kayson.
I've already spent countless hours reading and researching the Florida statues and the rules of court for filing for custody of a child. I'm going to set up a free consultation with a lawyer so they can help guide me in the right direction but everything else I'm doing by myself because I can't afford a lawyer right now.
I woke up at almost six on this lovely Saturday morning and got straight to work. I contacted a lawyer and set up an appointment. I started packing up Kayson's room and the kitchen with boxes I stole from work.
Later today, around three I'm going to see Kase as I do on Saturdays and then I'm going to start moving stuff to the new place.
It's a six hour trip there and back so the less trips I take the better. My plan is to stay here until the end of the year or until the bank takes the house. Whichever comes first.
And I'm passing the end of the school year comes first because driving three hours to school everyday is insane.
I woke up with the most motivation I've had in a while and I loved it. I had on my music, I sang and danced in my fluffy socks, Nike shorts and hoodie. I didn't even bother taking my bonnet off I was so in the zone.
"Because I'm eighteen!" I sang loudly over the voice of Khalid. "And I still live with my parents, yeah they're not like yours..!" I think this song is fitting. I'm eighteen now. I'm an adult.
Get a load of me ma, I'm eighteen now.
Today marks nine birthdays without my mom.
I hope she's proud of me. I hope she looking down at me and she's smiling.
"I've never fell in love, I'll save those feelings for you. So let's do all the stupid shit that young kids do.." I used the big box I stole from work to pack Kayson's clothes up. I folded everything nicely and packed it tight so everything could fit.
I stopped folding at the sound of someone knocking at the front door. I turned down my speaker a little and sat the shirt in my hands down on the way to the door.
"Who is it?" I made my way through the living room and to the front door.
I heard the familiar deep voice from the other side of the door. "Noah."
Ahhhahahahahh Noah!
My lips split into a wide grin. Noah makes me so happy. Just his existence makes me smile.
I unlocked the door and pulled it open, revealing Noah on the other side. His hair was pulled up in a bun, his green eyes took me in expectantly. He wore sweat pants, slides and a tank top. All of his lovely muscles and tattoos exposed for me to drool over.
My eyebrows raised as I glanced at the red gift bag in his hand. "Good morning." I mumbled innocently. This man..is so fine. I don't know how I managed to go so long without jumping his bones but let's just let it be known, I am very glad he's my boyfriend.
