N/A: rough edit

Elijah

I practically darted out the room after they announced both boys. I know Noah wants to protect me but I have to protect them. This fight literally can not happen.

The lights around the warehouse dimmed down low and a spot light focused on the ring where Noah and Carter were, each in their corner, waiting for the overwhelmingly loud announcer to give them the go ahead.

My heart dropped.

The crowd was wild, pumped up and excited. Everyone was screaming at the stage, awaiting the fight to start.

I couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't believe these fuckers were about to go at it. Because of me! It makes no sense. Why on earth would Carter to this? He's already won. I'm already his.

He's going to get himself killed.

This is so stupid.

I have to stop it.

"Ready..!" The announcer yelled into the microphone and the crowd screamed to the top of their lungs.

Oh God.

I sprinted to the ring, my thighs burned as I drove my legs as fast as I could.

"Set..!"

I push through hundle after hundle of people simply not bothering with apologizes at this point.

"FIGHT!"

No. No.

It cause me to stop. While every single person around me cheered and clapped, I froze, rooted in my spot, unable to move.

I fixed my eyes up at the stage and watched Carter charge at Noah with nothing but rage and hatred. He wanted to hurt. Maybe even kill.

And it scared me.

Why is he doing this? My vision began to blur.

Noah was smooth and methodical. Almost as if he was dancing he moved with ease, dodged every thing Carter threw at him. This wasn't anything close to his first rodeo. Even a blind person could see he was trying to spare him but Carter kept coming.

I started moving again. I can't watch this bullshit.

I pushed by sweaty bodies using my elbow for leverage. I couldn't wrap my head around how many people that were here.

I finally made it the stage and I winced as Noah punch Carter in the stomach.

Come on Elijah.

I climbed over the small gate separating the crowd from the stage and as soon as I did two beefy sumo wrestling looking men made a beeline straight for me, ready to kick my ass back over the gate.

"NO!" I shouted, though it made no difference. Everyone was shouting, it only drowned out mine. The men grabbed me by each arm I started going havoc. "LET ME GO!" I twisted and turned in their grip. Uselessly. Compare to their country boy strength I was pathetic. They lifted me with ease. "NOAH!" I screamed at the stage with all I could muster in an final attempt.

And just like that his eyes were on me. There's a hundred people in the building, screaming at the top of there lungs and in a single instant his green eyes were on mine, ready to defend and protect.

Carter told the opportunity like everything he had depended on it. He striked Noah square in the jaw.

His blue eyes were set, angry, malicious. That Carter isn't the Carter I've grown to know. And he isn't someone I think I want to associate myself with.
