Again we didn't get any work done. After I helped Carter out the water he realized he had his phone in his pocket, so we cleaned up his work area and he when home to change then to try and get his phone fixed while I just came home and showered.

Then decided to do some homework.

It was weird being home without Kayson but I knew he was probably having a ball at the Anderson's house with Gabby so I decided to wait a little later to pick him up. But not too much later because..it's a school night.

I was just about to get started with some more studying when I got an urge.

An urge that had me slip on a pair of sandals and waltz my black ass out the door and down four houses.

Before I knew it I knocked on the door and was greeted by a women.

I did not know the women. I don't recall ever meeting her, but she knows my name. And is staring at me like I've known her my entire life.

She's very skinny. I mean I'm skinny but she looked malnourished...almost like she's deprived of food. Her dark hair was wrapped up in a knot on the top of her head and she was in a wore out, off white dress that was almost the same color of her pale skin.

One thing's for sure though: she has Noah's green eyes. Or I guess he has her green eyes as I take it this is his mother.

I smiled politely at the women. "Good afternoon, is Noah home?"

She just stared at me with wide, astonished eyes. Why is she staring at me like that? Maybe I had something on my teeth.

I shuffled awkwardly, unsure of what to do. Then out of no where the women stepped into my space and pulled me into a tight hug.

"Oh uh--okay.." The Hayes family really has a way with their uh...hugging system. They don't warn you very much and it just completely catches you off guard. But they're heart warming, meaningful hugs that left me feeling as if they knew something I didn't.

She must just really like..people.

"It's nice to meet you too Mrs. Hayes." I awkwardly patted her back. She pulled away and laughed, her eyes lite up with bliss.

"You're still so silly. I am so happy you've finally came around, Noah hasn't been the same these past years. I can't believe you're here right now. You look so much like Denise. So beautiful and chocolate.."

I was confused. And I'm sure it was written all over my face. Her words were coming at me entirely too fast, but I didn't even get a chance to ask Mrs. Hayes to elaborate before a familiar deep voice sounded from behind her.

"What are you doing here?" He opened the door wider, exposing himself. Now standing next to her I could see than many resemblances between him and his mother. Thin lips, green eyes, pale skin.

Again I was a little surprised by Noah's appearance. His hair was in a bun. He had a man bun. It was..

Cute.

No I take that back. It was sexy as hell.

The little things about Noah make him so sexy. The lip ring, his long eyelashes, his signature black hoodie.

I bit the inside of my cheek, now feeling somewhat pressured. Does he always have to sound like he's annoyed with me before I even open my mouth? Geesh.

"I came to talk to you." I smiled and his response made it fall.

"No."

Oh.
