Why does everyone hate on Dear Evan Hansen? Evan was not a terrible person really. The whole point of the characters is they are supposed to be incredibly flawed people. It doesn't romanticize either mental illness or suicide, the fandom is the issue with that. I understand what Evan did was bad, and he could've handled the situation better. You can like/dislike something, but it's not okay to actively hate on it.
