Chapter 30

Hueningkai POV

It was Friday finally and after practicing for the exam all week decided to have a chill study day. I was waiting for my friends from the tennis club to go to the cafe and eat something. As I got there I can see Soobin was already at an empty table.

"Hey bro," I said as I gesture him to come with me to drop off my bag at the male dorm but he was distracted. I realized and notice he was focused on Y/N she was talking to Jimin, it looked like she just got here as well because I knew if she saw Soobin she would have came straight to him. I walked over and sat by him and can see he was really distracted.

"Uh hello?" I said reaching to touch his arm and as I did I felt something I never could do before. I was reading his thoughts...

Does she like him...

 I really miss our time together...

 Why is she laughing so much with this guy... 

Why do I have these thoughts still I feel like a stalker...

"Soobin stop talking!" I said to him making him snap out of it. He suddenly looked at me as his ears turn red. That's when suddenly Y/N came by the table. 

"Hi, guys do you want me to bring you a coffee... Guys?" Y/N said seeing we were acting weird. 

"Uh yes but Soobin is coming with me to the dorm to drop off my tennis bag," I said making an excuse so we can talk. This was big news. 

"Oh well, let's go then." She said ready to go. 

"No that's ok someone needs to stay here what if the guys come. They don't know our new table yet." I said making more excuses.

"Fine hurry up!" Y/N said smiling as she went to get our coffee. I got up quickly pulling Soobin as we waved goodbye quickly.  As we got outside and were walking quickly I felt a rush of happiness this is a good thing I thought.

"Okay since when have you gotten new abilities, it's an invasion of privacy," Soobin said annoyed as he pouts.

"Bro how long have you liked Y/N?" I asked ignoring him being upset. I wasn't trying to be inconsiderate it's just I want Y/N to be happy and I knew that was with Soobin. 

"I have always liked her I never stopped." He said getting upset. As we got closer to the dorms I saw the others going the other way and was heading to the cafe. 

"Well, are you gonna tell her?" I asked him as we headed into the dorms and turn right to walk down the hallway. He suddenly became silent till we headed inside my dorm. I shut the door quickly so we can get this solved.

"I can't tell her, that day when she asked me. I lied to her. I know girls don't like liars and I'm a liar." He said sitting on my bed looking down. I put my bag down and sit next to him.

"Bro your not a liar it's hard to confess most of the time," I said trying to comfort him.

"I did lie because I didn't want to admit it, I would happily admit it. But I lied because I had a vision she kissed Jimin with Tae standing there watching and I got petty. I know we weren't dating but I thought we be something more." He said crossing his arms. 

"Y/N kissed Jimin? Wait Tae was watching!?" I said shocked I didn't know this because Y/N and I tell each other everything. Then I put two and two together if Tae was watching it was probably an attempted to break the mind attachment Tae has on Y/N. We were quiet for a moment and knew we had to hurry back because the others will start spam calls and messages in the group chat. 

"Look I think you should still tell her and talk to her about it. I'm sure it's a misunderstanding," I said as I got up to get my sweater to wear because it was chilly outside. 

"I can't if I admit I lied she will get more upset that I lied! I don't want her to get mad at me!" He said laying back on my bed groaning in annoyance. I gesture Soobin to come so we can hurry on with the others. I wanted to get there faster so I used a spell on the bathroom door and made it a shortcut entrance to the cafe. As we entered it we were now inside the cafe I can see the others sitting with Y/N. 

"Kai please don't say anything." He begged. I nod understanding. As we walked up to our new lunch table we can see two cups of coffee waiting for us. I pushed Soobin to sit by Y/N he does and I squish between Yeonjun and Taehyun. 

"Finally, I order food so we can take it to go," Beomgyu said as he glared at Jisoos table. I realized the plan was ruined when she came in. 

"What happened?" Soobin asked.

"They're just taking crap well mostly Jisoo about Y/N and it's making me want to explode so," Beomgyu said rolling his eyes. 

"We got soup for everyone to go. It's cold outside. Why are you not wearing a sweater Soobin!" Y/N said touching his arm making a black coat appear. I smiled at the effort. I looked at the others and they saw the effort to. It was a cute and caring gesture.

"Shit I didn't mean to do that." She said looking away becoming nervous. I can see Soobin appreciated it even if the dorms weren't that far. I noticed as we waited Tae kept looking at our table. Having new abilities I had to tell the others but I can hear Tae trying to make an attractive melody trying to persuade Y/N to follow but I couldn't tell if it worked, she was good at blocking anyone in her mind. Suddenly Soobin turned and looked at Tae. It was as if the two were trying to establish dominance. Then Soobin reached to touch Y/N's head, he started to pat her head gently but as he did that I knew he made Tae's melody jump out of her mind making the attachment Tae had weaker. 

"Ouch fuck!" Tae shouted as he rubbed his head. 

"TXT!" The cashier shouted telling us our order was ready from the food stan.

"That's our cue," Yeonjun and Taehyun said and we all got up quickly leaving with our meal. I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head. Geez, what a mess I thought as we headed to the door I cast on that was close to the exit entrance.  We head back inside it ending up in my room.
