Chapter 35

Y/N POV 

It was almost spring break and after reading what I can in the book of Magic Island I found out there was a written passage saying there is more information in a hidden castle on campus. I gathered all the supplies of a blanket and flashlight just in case. As I create a spell on my bathroom door to make a shortcut to head into Hueningkais room as I open the door I realized I was in Soobin's room. 

"Um hi?" He said as he turned to look at me coming out of his bathroom. I can see he was studying at his desk.

"Sorry Soobin I was trying to get into Hueningkais room I don't know why it didn't work," I said to him. He smiled as he shook his head. 

"Well, what did you need? Hueningkai isn't in his room he's with the others for this project. They're trying to outdo Tae and Jisoo." He said gesturing me to come by his desk and take a seat on his bed. 

"Well I was gonna ask if kai wanted to explore a hidden castle I found out about in the book," I said. Suddenly I gathered Soobins attention.

"What you were gonna ask him? This is our thing now." He said casually, I was a bit confused because last time we did a research session he made it awkward or well I messed it up. I wanted to take any time I can to hang out with Soobin.

"Are you sure?!" I asked as sat on his bed.

"Yeah I'm down plus I like finding out more about this stuff with you," He said as he turned off his laptop and organized his things. I got up gathering some apples for the trip ahead.

"Okay let's go I think I know where it is I wrote it down," I said as I took a piece of paper out with a wishing rod I bought at the craft store it's supposed to find hidden locations and pull us there. I put the apples in my bag as I cast a spell on Soobin's bathroom door to lead us to a closer door to the potential location. 

"Wait you need a jacket its cold outside!" Soobin said as he went to his closet getting me one. I could just cast for one but I wanted to wear his. 

"Thanks okay, the spell is done let's go," I said as I let him open the door for me and as I follow him while putting the baggy jacket on. We ended up at an abandoned building that appeared to be very old. We both walked out of the door and just in a blink of an eye the door was gone. 

"Welp let's just keep going and follow the rod," I said pointing the stick in front of me as I let it pull me in the right direction. Suddenly a hard tug was pulling me out of the broken building and into the forest as Soobin follows behind me I turned to see the abandoned building looked to be a preschool. As we kept going forward suddenly I felt thick energy in front of me. 

"Soobin grab onto me!" I say as I run past the invisible wall of energy. Feeling Soobin hand grab my waist we made it safely on the other side.

"Is that the school building and the gate no one crosses ahead?" Soobin said pointing. Seeing where we went all the way around when we could have jumped over the gate wall. 

"Well that was a waste of time I'm sorry," I said opening my bag to put the rod away when I realize Soobin hand was still on my waist.

"Uh, Soob?" I said getting his attention there.

"Oh sorry aha," He said moving his hand quickly. Ugh, his awkward laugh I thought.

"Well hey it wasn't a waste of time we found a visible wall cover that looked like an old school," Soobin added getting my attention to walk into this broken-looking castle. I knew this was the place because of the colors the writing passage said in the book. 

"Your right we should look into that next time lets go in," I said as I followed him walking on this gravel path. He reached to help me down because were very high from the ground.
