Chapter 12

Y/N POV

The dark silence that does not answer

when I call for you

in the night sky scares me...

Walking through the forest the sweet words of a voice echoed through the forest... As I was swallowed more into the trees. The branches became thicker on the ground as I walk through a thin passageway.

in case it'll be forgotten like this...

That those moments that had felt like magic

that the night sky I had walked with you...

I looked up at the sky and realized It was night and didn't know how long I have been walking. The stars above gave me light as I kept traveling closer to the sweet words being said to me. It felt familiar and every step I took made me feel warm. I notice the trees in front of me had a peak of light as if something was on the other side. I walk towards it slowly and reach to peak through the tiny opening through the trees.

Would simply vanish like a dream...

As I stepped into the other side in front of me was a river that echoed far enough you couldn't see where it end. As the water sparkled from the moon that shined down. With the river only have a little part of the land was a tall thick tree that hid someone that echoed that melody. This felt like a dream but I knew it wasn't because this wasn't scary. It was pure light that made you feel warm and fuzzy. I walked a bit closer becoming brave and see a tall guy with pointy ears and had shaggy-looking hair that hid his face. As I get closer I notice he had vines and roses around his body stopping him from becoming free.

"May I help you," I said softly as I sit next to him. Watching him play with the water it looks like he tried to escape from the tree but he was still connected to it as he looked in the river. I see his face was also covered with many leaves and roses making it hard to see his face.

"Yes... Please..." I hear him whisper as he sits back from the water. I reach and touch the vines and branches that were wrapped parts of his body. I closed my eyes and feel my hands get warm as I made the branches and vines turn dark as they turned to ash falling from his body and fading from the ground. I made sure I was gentle and careful because for some reason I knew he felt everything from the tree. When he became free I see he needed clothes so I took off my coat quickly to cover him.

"Thank you." He said moving his hair out of his face.

"Your welcome. What's your name?" I asked kindly. I was memorized because I have never seen a nature element before in its natural state. But from what I read Nature elements aren't grown in the forest unless it's a new family tree or the element was left there.

"My name is Soobin," Soobin said with a smile. I smile back as we take another minute to process everything. I stood up taking his hand and knew the best thing to do was take him to the university. He stood up I didn't realize he was so tall. Tall enough that my coat was barely covering him. Without realizing it I put my hands on his shoulders and imagine him in clothes that fit him and when I opened my eyes he appeared in a plain shirt and pants. I looked down and see I didn't put shoes on him.

"It's okay I don't want shoes." He replied. I chuckled that he noticed I was looking at his feet.

"I can't leave..." He said looking up at the tree. He walks towards it to sit under it.

"Why?" I asked as I followed him and sat next to him.

"I have to wait till its full blossoms then I can let go..." He said resting his head. I nod understanding and laid my head on his shoulder as he hummed the same melody before. Hearing his singing was very hypnotic.

"I never thought you come." He said sighing as if he was relieved.

"What do you mean?" I said confused.

"When you stepped near I knew we were connected some way." He said smiling. I felt my face get hot and knew I was blushing. Being close to Soobin felt calm, it felt as if I found the other side of myself. I also felt nervous because I never been so close to a guy except for my best friend. In a way when you get when you like someone. But I didn't know who this person was...

"I don't remember much... Everything is a blur, but there is something I long to know." He said as he studied his feet making his toes wiggle. It's like he's never seen his full body. I laugh and see he was amazed by his body and laid his head back on the tree. Every time he did that it felt as if the energy from the tree was coming off it in waves.

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously. Things at school started to get weird. I mean weirder than the magic stuff. Dean Rin is acting strange and is hiding a big secret from students. It makes me wonder if there were other elements she lied about it I thought.

"I see you get lost in your thoughts," Soobin said getting my attention again from patting my head. I smile and nod agreeing because it was true.

"Yeah. I just think this all connects to something more and I think you are involved with it. I want to make sure to keep you safe until you blossom out from your tree and make sure the others are safe." I said getting my bag to see if I had my phone. As I check my phone I can see it was dead.

"Others?" He said as he observed what I had in my hands. I passed him my dead phone to hold while I search more in my bag for something to eat.

"Yes, our little family group we have now. We have a family of other elements they will be so happy to meet you!" I said as I give up looking in my bag I know this is our nature element I thought. Suddenly Soobin put his hand on the grass and made an apple appear in front of us.

"Here eat." He said with a smile.

"Soobin... I feel as if we-"

"Met before. Yes, I feel that too." He said as he put my phone down and reach next to me to take my hand. My heart was beating loud out my chest. Was this really happening why was this so scary in my dream ahhhh my head I thought.

"I feel we know each other but I don't know from where. But I don't want you to go yet." He said as we looked in the distance as the moon made the river glistening in the night.

"I'm not going anywhere I promise," I said as I laid my head on his shoulder again. I take the apple and take a bite as we sat comfortably in silence. Listening to Soobin sing the melody throughout the night. I felt as if I can sit here for eternity with him. Suddenly as the moon rises more through the night I can feel myself get tired as I drift to sleep.
