Chapter 42

Y/N POV 

As everything was black I started to smell a scent of coal with burnt wood. The smell made me feel stronger and I started to breathe heavily. 

"My sixth daughter you are the last of us..." I heard a woman say as her voice echoed around me. As I sat up I see I am in an endless void. The scent and warmth gave me comfort.

"Daughter?" I say as I stand up and see a light glow brighter in front of me. Suddenly a woman appeared in front of me. I knew this was...

"Yes, my daughter... You made a wise choice to stop Rin... But you must go alone on your journey through the door. Your answers are there... I can't help you, see I am not fully human," My fire goddess said to me as she came closer to me and reached down to hold my hands. Suddenly I felt a great strength more than ever before. Seeing a vision of what I must do to help everyone and stop Rin. 

"I will mother I will protect our people," I say as I reach in to give her a hug. I knew then where I came from who I really am.

"You have proved to me you are the chosen one unlike the ones that are forgotten," Suddenly letting go she raised a fire that showed a form of people. 

"Wait that's my mom, my dad, and Rin what does this mean?" I said as I reach forward the fire to touch my mother's face.

"These people had the choice to possess the sixth elements but failed to prove they're worthy..."She said as she made the flames disappear. I wasn't surprised it was another reason why Rin was trying so hard to gain that power back she once lost. But my parents I couldn't imagine. 

"What did my parents do?" I asked worriedly.

"They didnt fail they just made a sacrifice and had you and gave you their power... Giving you full life and they knew you are the chosen one." She said as she put her hand on my cheek removing my tears.

"If you are willing to sacrifice your own power even to evil for the greater good then we do have a chance in this world. Don't let her win this. Now wake up..." The fire goddess said as her red hair had a blaze of flames. As she reached to hug me again swallowing me into her flame.

I woke up in the nurse's center with all my friends around me. I smiled and can see my friends were happy I was okay but I can tell Soobin was not amused.

"Y/N please stop doing this to me it makes me worry!" He said as we all smiled. Suddenly I felt a warm sting on my arm. I lifted my arm and can see a red and flame orange carving in my arm of all the six elements. I looked at my friends they were surprised at what they are seeing. Suddenly hearing a click of heels Taehyun quickly put my blanket I had over my arm and I closed my eyes pretending to be asleep. 

"Oh I see she is still asleep, that's okay I'm sure she is going through a lot of stress. Yeonjun will you tell Y/N that she can still take her exam tomorrow and you all will be able to. I spoke to Tae and he told me the amount of stress you all have been going through," Dean Rin said to the guys. 

"Of course thank you Rin," I hear yeonjun say as the other agreed. As I hear her walk away and the door shutting. I shot up and started waving so everyone can see my arm. 

"Woah this is insane you have to be the first-year elemental to get a craving from your goddess of the sixth elements!" Hueningkai said excitedly. I can tell all my friends were excited. 

"Are we really ready for tomorrow?" Beomgyu said giggling. 

"Yes, we are," Soobin said as we smiled at each other.
