Chapter 14

Soobin POV

I woke up, I felt strong as Y/N laid next to me. I felt so connected to her and I couldn't figure out why. We laid next to my tree I notice leaves started to grow more and more. 

"Tell me what the others are like?" I asked her. 

"Well the others are amusing, and we are kind of like outcasts. I just met them not that long ago and when you're with them you feel like we are all connected in so many ways. Taehyun he's very smart, Beomgyu loves to play video games. Heuningkai is very loud and a bit of a messy maker but reads these erotic books and tries to act like nobody notices. Then their Yeonjun he likes fashion, he's a talented artist, and is a bit of a flirt." She said laughing. I smile and feel her energy blossom. 

"Do you think they will like me?" I asked as I catch an occasional leaf fall on my chest. 

"Yes they will, you are lovely, and you complete us I can feel it," Y/N said putting her arm on my chest. 

"My tree is almost complete, I'm sorry I've been keeping you here. I'm sure your friends miss you and are worried." I said feeling this weird feeling in my stomach.

"Don't worry they will be happy to see both of us plus I'm sure they are the only ones really worried for us." She said looking up at the sky. The sky was filled with colors of a mix of purple, yellow, and pink. 

"I had another dream this time. I saw you open the door." I said moving to lay on my side to face her. I notice she was intrigued. 

"What's behind the door?" She said also laying on her side to face me. 

"I heard a little boy speak but I couldn't see him. He felt familiar but maybe this door was like a way I put my memories away?" I said rubbing my face as I sigh.

"I think your right, but I see a door in my dreams, and I feel it's real, it's pretty close. A boy? Hmmm... I wish I knew more about what this meant. It's been so hard with all of this. Moving and changing my life. I hope we find out the truth." She said venting to me.

"Soobin, do you know who your parents are?" Y/N added. I suddenly sat up and stared at my tree and realized I couldn't remember who my parents were or why I was grown here. Maybe mother nature made me? I wasn't illiterate I did know what someone my age would know because of the people around the forest. I can feel them. When people speak I hear their whispers. I knew things but my memories were just empty spots in my head that needed to be filled in.

"I don't know and it makes me sad I had to be created by someone right?" I said laughing nervously as I rub my head messing up my hair. Suddenly Y/N sat up with me to fix my hair. I look down blushing because I couldn't keep eye contact with her. I don't know why I felt this feeling inside towards her. 

"I wonder what day it is?" She asked as she looked up letting the sun touch her skin. 

"It's been a couple of days, maybe it's Friday?" I said watching her. Suddenly she shot up and looked very alarmed.

"What!!! Day!?!? Oh my gosh, the others must be so worried really now! We don't even know what Friday of the month!?" She said in a worried tone. 

"I'm sorry," I said rubbing my stomach.

"What's wrong?" She said worriedly. 

"I don't know I keep having this bad feeling in my stomach every time it's my fault I make you sad, plus I'm sure you're tired of eating apples I only know how to create apples right now. Ah, that sounds really bad. I eat from the sun you know... haha! And the sun is helping you too!" I said rubbing my head again feeling my face get hot. I knew I was starting to talk too much and I was getting nervous.

"I think that's the emotion of guilt, but you shouldn't feel guilty!" Y/N said hitting my arm playfully. 

"You don't make me sad, I am just worried about the others." She added with a worried look on her face. I walked up to her to pat her head to make her feel better it worked. I knew she gets the gesture me being playful with her.

"Stop it!" She said laughing as she moved my hand and started to fix her hair.

"Do you think you are going to miss this place?" 

"No, I want to explore the outside world with you!" I said smiling back at her. Suddenly the ground started to vibrate and in front of us, my tree grew taller. I stood up and walked towards it as I reached to touch it as if this was a sign of my goodbye.

"It's time. Let's go!" I said as I reach for Y/N hand. I help her get her things and took her bag for her. I looked down at my feet and notice my clothes started to change. I was wearing these black shoes and very dark colors. 

"Sorry I didn't mean to do that its a habit now." She said laughing nervously. I let go of her hand and walked towards the water to see my reflection. I saw I was wearing a dark red turtle neck with a black coat, black slacks, and brown loafers. As I saw myself I felt this power. A power I never felt before. 

"I know it seems like a lot of clothes but it is cold on the other side." She said as she snapped her fingers changing her appearance as well. She was now wearing similar loafers with long maroon socks with a black skirt and a fitted maroon turtle neck. As I helped her put her coat on, I took her hand again and still having her backpack on me. I walk towards where she came in. 

"Are you okay?" She added as she notices I turned back looking back at the place I grew.

"Yes," I said as I gripped her hand gently and watched the branches and vines in front of us open as we walked out to the other side.
