Chapter 10

//Darryl's POV//
(Time: 10am, Sunday)
I woke up to no alarm. Great muffins, did i forget to set my alarm or is it a sunday?
Luckily, I woke up to a sunday, I didn't forget to set my alarm.

Last time I forgot was scary, I woke up at 9am and i got detention after school for about 3 hours, also got a lecture from my mom.

I went downstairs to make some breakfast, my mom was sitting on the couch, watching a show on the television.
"Goodmorning Darryl!"
"Goodmorning Mom! If you haven't eaten breakfast yet, can i make it for you?" My mother raised me alone, my father left us when i was born. He didn't want to keep care of me.
"It's okay, I already had breakfast. Can I make yours?"
"No, It's okay, I can make it myself." I said while taking an egg from the fridge.
I cracked it open and poured it into a frying pan, Im making a scrambled egg sandwich.

After eating breakfast, I went back into my room and turned my pc on.
I opened Discord and into the groupchat.

Badboyhalo: Goodmorning guys! Can we meet up in the park today? ^_^
Skeppy: ys bring muffns
Sapnap: Lets wait for the british idiots to wake up first
Skeppy: shouldn't they be awake its 10 am
Sapnap: George sleeps a lot on sundays and i dont know about Tommy.
Skeppy: o ok
Georgenotfound: Goodmorning i awake
Badboyhalo: Hi George! Me, Nick and Zak are going to the park! wanna join? :P
Georgenotfound: Sure! Also, Nick, did you call me a british idiot?
Sapnap: yes
Georgenotfound: man.

Skeppy: u ok?
TommyInnit: y'es
Skeppy: ok cool
Badboyhalo: Goodmorning Tommy! We are going to meet up at the park, wanna come?
TommyInnit: sounds fun, im coming
Sapnap: pog
Georgenotfound: Would you guys like to eat a lemon pie?
Sapnap: George is Dream one of the ingredients
Sapnap: oops
Badboyhalo: Who is Dream?
Georgenotfound: You'll see.
Skeppy: i wnt lemon pie,,,,,

//George's POV//
"Dream, im going downstairs."
"Okay."

My parents were asleep. Im allowed to do whatever i want on sundays.

I got the ingredients to make lemon pie.
I stirred some sugar, cornstarch, flour and salt together. After that, I cooked it at medium heat, giving it a thick and bubbly texture. I poured some of the mixture into some beaten egg yolks, and then mixed it with the rest of it. I boiled and stirred it for a bit and added some butter and lemon juice into it, I put the mixture into a pastry shell. Then I made the meringue, I beat some egg whites, salt and sugar, then spread it over the pie, I left the pie to bake for about 20 minutes.

When it was ready, I broke a small piece of it and ate it, it was delicious.
I put the pie on the kitchen's counter to cool down, I went back upstairs.

Dream was jumping on my bed, I went back on discord.

Georgenotfound: Hi! Im done baking the lemon pie.
Sapnap: RIP Dream.
TommyInnit: Who is Dream?? Some kind of lemon you guys named dream or something?
Sapnap: Well technically yes but it's some kind of creature George found in his lemon trees.
Georgenotfound: Dream is alive i didn't bake him why would i do that
Sapnap: oh
Skeppy: me annd darryl ar e leavinf in about 30 minutes
Georgenotfound: k

I got off of discord and went to get ready, It was cloudy outside so I took a thick sweater, jeans and a hoodie, words written on it "404 Not Found".
I went into the bathroom and changed my clothes.

//Tommy's POV//
I looked down at my clothes, a green sweater that Tubbo gave me.

Why did he leave me? What caused our friendship to abruptly end? Did i do something wrong?

I felt myself tear up.

Tomathy, dont cry. you're not a baby, you're not a baby.

I started to cry.

Tubbo, why did you leave me? I miss you so much Tubbo.

(One notification from a groupchat)

Sapnap: Which park tho
Georgenotfound: i think we should go to the place near the forest in front of our school, idk i go there sometimes and its cool
Skeppy: sure
Badboyhalo: Okay! ^^
Badboyhalo: oh shoot i forgot to ask my mom if i can go outside and im already dressed up o_O
Sapnap: good luck
Badboyhalo: She said yes :] Wheres Tommy?
TommyInnit: im right here darryl
Badboyhalo: Did you ask your mom?
TommyInnit: she said yes
Badboyhalo: woo :D
Sapnap: My parents aren't home today
Georgenotfound: My parents let me do whatever on days off.
Skeppy: Lucky
Badboyhalo: Nick, can you lead us to George's house? Meet me at Zak's house.
Sapnap: Sure.
TommyInnit: Nick take me with you too
Sapnap: k

I turned my phone off.

//Darryl's POV//
I turned my pc off and put a leash on my pet dog, Lucy.
I call her Rat, I think its a cute and funny nickname.
I went downstairs and my mom unlocked the door for me.
"Where are you going Darryl?"
"Oh! Im going to a park with Zak and some new friends."
"Stay safe okay? Have fun!"
"Wait mom! Can you give me the muffins i cooked?"
"Okay! Did you cook them for your friends?"
"Yes."
"Thats very sweet of you Darryl."
"Thank you, goodbye!"
"Goodbye!"

I exit my house, Rat following me. My mom locked the door after a bit, she waves at me till im out of sight.

Rat was looking around, sniffed the path and looked back to see if I was still there.
After about 15 minutes, Zak's home came into view.
I saw Nick standing with him outside his door.

"Hi guys!"
"Hi Darryl."
"Hello!" Zak said cheerfully. He hugged me.
"Where's Tommy?"
"He's coming after a bit, then we'll go to George's house." Nick said.
"Oh ok."
"Oh my god, I just noticed you have a dog, what's it's name?"
"Oh! Her name is Rat."
Nick crouched and pet Rat, she spinned around, making Nick laugh a bit.
"Aww, she's so cute."

We saw Tommy in the distance, he looked very tired .

"Hi Tommy!"
"Hi Darryl."
His voice was a bit deep and he sounded like he was about to cry.
"Tommy, are you feeling well? You don't have to go with us." Zak said.
"No, it's okay, I just miss Tubbo. He gave me this sweater."
He pulled the sweater, showing us a cute bee printed on it.
"Aw, I think you were really close to Tubbo. I dont think he left you on purpose, maybe it was to protect you?"
"I dont know, Zak..."
I saw a few tears roll down his cheeks.
"Tommy, can I hug you?" I asked.
He nodded.
I pulled him towards me and wrapped my arms around him.
After a while, he pulled away and quietly said "Thank you."

"Guys, George said we are taking too long." Nick told us.
"Oh okay, Lets go." Zak said.

We followed Nick to George's place.

//George's POV//
I took my backpack, put the lemon pie in a basket.
I told Dream to not get lost like he does.
I put a note on the fridge, "Im going to a park with Nick and a few other friends, I'll be back till 8pm."

I unlocked the house door and went outside, the air was cold but pleasant. It was also a bit cloudy today, I hope it doesn't start to rain.

I saw Nick and the others from a distance, I ran over to them.
We said our hellos and I led them to the park, I noticed that Darryl had a pet dog.

"Darryl, what's your dog's name?"
"Her name is Lucy, but I nicked her Rat."
I pet her. Her fur was soft and fluffy, she barked at me.
"Aww, I used to have a cat. His name was Luca."
"What happened to Luca?" Darryl asked.
"He died cause of breathing problems." I answered with a sad tone.
"Awh, im sorry. He's in a better place now."
"I know."
