Lauren's POV

I sign my name at the end of the paper to seal the deal with Zayn for the amount of money he is requesting for the load of cotton he is selling me.

There's a soft knock on my study door and I call out for them to come in. The door opens and Miss Cabello walks in.

"Are you busy, Miss Jauregui?" She asks.

"A little bit but I have time to talk. What do you need, Miss Cabello?" I motion her to sit in front of me.

Miss Cabello sits down in front of me as she fiddles with her fingers. "Do you remember when you asked me about my family?" She finally talks.

"Why yes," I nod as I lean forward while knitting my fingers together.

"I am ready to tell you about them," She says.

"You want something in exchange do you not?" I eye her with curiosity.

"How did you-"

"I can read body language easily. You are aching to tell me something else, out with it Miss Cabello," I said, taking my log out and jot down some extra things I have to do for today.

"A tale for a tale," She says.

I look up at her, our eyes locking immediately, as I set my pencil down on my desk. "You will tell me about your family if I tell you one of my tales?" I question.

"Yes," She nods.

"What kind of tale do you want to hear from me?" I ask.

"Your family," She answers.

My lip twitches but I fight back a frown from forming. I take in a deep breath then breathe out. "Very well then," I gently close my log and set it aside. I stand up and walk to my alcohol cabinet, grabbing a bottle of scotch then sitting down on the settee. "Well, are you going to join me for a glass?" I look up at her after I finished pouring myself a glass.

"I did not think women drank anything either than wine and champagne here," Camila sits down across from me.

"That is highly offensive, Miss Cabello. I do not know about other women but I drink it when I am alone," I said.

"I would not turn down fancy alcohol," Miss Cabello takes the glass I outstretched to her.

"Will you like to share or should I?" I raise my eyebrow in question.

"I will share first so I can show you that I am willing," Miss Cabello says.

"I am all ears," I smiled.

Camila's POV

I take a deep breath as I look up from my drink to look Miss Jauregui eye to eye. "I have my father, my mother, and my younger brother. Alejandro, Sinuhe, and Shawn..."

Camila lays her head on her brother's arm as she and her family walk to the river to accompany her mother in washing their clothing.

They hear the rushing river and the two siblings start running, their hands finding each other. Once the river is in sight, both siblings jump in and make a big splash.

Shawn lets go of his older sister's hand and starts to splash her with water.

"Shawn!" Camila giggles. The brown-eyed girl moves to get closer to her brother and tackles him causing them both to fall into the water.

Shawn wraps his arms around his sister under the water as they playfully wrestle each other.

Camila frees herself from her brother's grasp as she re-emerges just in time to see their parents start to wash the clothes. "Do you need help mama?" The brunette calls out.
