Chapter Fifty-Four

"Matte matte matte!!" Oikawa said grabbing my shoulder. "you can't seriously agree to this eagle's will and idiotic brain sucking bet! He's just pulling your leg!"

"You are free to forfeit of you wish," Ushijima went on, "that only proves the paths you have chosen are a mistake."

"....Mistake my ass," I replied, "BET! I'll prove to you that the paths we chose are no mistake, but the right ones to get even stronger in the future!" 

I stared up at Ushijima before turning away and dragging Oikawa with me. "Just you wait.. I'll prove him wrong..."

Timeskip

I said goodbye to Oikawa before going to my bus and taking a seat next to Hinata and Kageyama as we talked most of the time back to our school. By the time of arriving, we were greeted by our fellow classmates as they congratulated us on our victory. 

"Eeeeeee!! I can't believe we are progressing this through and free flowingly!!" Elycia exclaimed.

"And it gets better," F/n said as he greets the two of us. 

"where have you been?" I asked raising a brow.

"Gathering the band together to help you guys on the finals tomorrow." F/n said, "it took a while to convince your principal to let me form a marching band for you guys." 

"Marching.."

"BAND!?!?" 

Elycia and I looked at each other as we looked back to F/n.

"So THAT'S the band you were talking about!!" Elycia said as her eyes shone brightly. "Can you have them play for us?!"

"Not right now," F/n said as he shook his head, "you'll just have to wait till tomorrow." He added with a grin, "You'll love what we have in store."

"Such a tease!!" Elycia whined.

"Hmmm, fine, we'll give it one performance to boost your energy right now, Karasuno Crow Marching Band lets go!" F/n called as students from different floors brought up their instruments and waited on cue from F/n.

"Eeeeeee, now we're really feeling the school spirit!" Elycia said as she clapped at the performance.

Guess we can make big differences if we were to truly become a part of this world... I looked up at the disappearing sunlight as we all headed in the building to put our things away and watch the video that was recorded during our match from the Sendai Gymnasium. Most of the cameras were on the Seijoh boys and videos of us actually winning and them losing.

Though Elycia, me and F/n were kind of surprise the cameramen caught the prestigious tiger eyes of mine really and having the head of, "A Tiger Amongst A Flock of Crows".

"UWAH!! Y/n-san showed up in several screen already!!" Hinata cheered

"Damn I'm jealous!" Nishinoya laughed a bit.

"I'm surprised one or two of the cameras had their eyes on you Y/n- eh... Y/n?" F/n looked around and found me soon standing in the very far corner of the room all gloomy.

"Oi oi oi!! Stop trying to look like Sakusa dammit!" F/n called out as their attention once more panned over to the TV once more.

Another Timeskip

We went back to the gym to discuss on how we can maneuver about things tomorrow against Shiratorizawa... and of course...

"HAAAA?!?! YOU MADE A BEAT TO THAT EAGLE?!?" Tanaka exclaimed.

"That bet is stupid!!" Nishinoya added in, "Ain't no way we're going to have them take away our star player!!" 

"Yeah yeah!" Hinata agreed as Kageyama nodded his head vigorously.

"Why on earth would you even agree to that bet?" Daichi asked. 

I just looked away a bit and mumbled my answer. "....T-Temptation..." I sighed a bit and looked at them, "look, I know what I did seemed out of line and all.. but you weren't there, Ushijima thins that everyone can become stronger if they go to Shiratorizawa, those with strength and talent at least.. He doesn't fully understand that talented people can chose their own paths and build their strength and power in a way they want to do it..! I can't just stand there and let him insult Oikawa, especially those words he said are definitely directed to all of us!"

"You just played a risky card, Y/n-san.. what if.. what if we lose.." Asahi said, "that means we lose you too..."

Everyone began thinking about to as they all mumbled to themselves.

"Well... do you guys want to lose me?" I asked them

"Of course not!" Kageyama said standing up.

"Then lets not give up! We are going to win this everyone, if wehave beaten Seijoh, then we're ready for this... we'll get pass them and win this!" 

We all went back to strategizing for what is to come... soon after, we all began heading home. Of course, as I had said once before, F/n lives farther away from where I live, Elycia lives with me and all...

The two of us walked in silence as I was picking a playlist to listen to.

"Hey N/n-chan?" She began as I looked at her.

"What's up?" I asked her as she looked hesitant for a moment.

"Don't you ever miss home?" She asked me, "as in.. don't you miss your parents? siblings? everyone?"

"Well, I mean yea I do... but not fully... besides, even if I want to go back home and all... home just... doesn't feel like home anymore there. My parents occassionally fight all the time, my siblings are older than me and had moved out already... this is the only place I feel at home."

"hm... same," Elycia replied, "Father doesn't like it when I'm not home on time and practically sends his guards to look for me. Being in a family of a syndicate organization isn't fun." Elycia whines.

"I'm guess you're also avoiding the 'arranged marriage' as well?" I asked plainly as I scrolled through my phone, hearing her sigh deeply. "Then... there's no reason for us to go home at all. We can stay here, enjoy our lives here and forget our old lives."

"And what about your words you said? That we should conquer the walls that block us from our true happiness? Shouldn't we face them and-"

"We're home... I'm too tired to continue this conversation..." I said as I opened the door and head straight to my room.

Elycia scowled a bit as she took out the key she had with her. She placed her bag down and took out a pen and notebook as she writes down on it before pinning it on the doorway. She looked at the key once more as it changes the keyhole on the door, putting the key in and turning it before opening the door as it was suddenly bright outside. "Elly will take the first step then... I'll come back before the end of the match tomorrow, promise." She grabbed the necessary things she needed before exiting the house. "Elly will also prove to her old man, she's not a little girl anymore.." She said to herself before leaving and closing the door behind her, the key falling out of the keyhole and onto the ground with a small thunk.

I was already in bed as I stared up to the ceiling thinking about a lot of things, but not too many to the point I'll feel heavy pressure on me that'll cause a fever frenzy. 

Sooner or later, I fell asleep into a deep peaceful and dreamless slumber.
