Chapter Twenty

"As you're all aware..." Takeda began, "...You have final exams starting next month... am I right?"

The coach flinched as Kageyama, Hinata, Tanaka, and Noya looked glum.

"Right?" Takeda repeated causing the four to look away from their teacher.

"...Do I have the right to say... they're doomed?" I asked crossing my arms

"yup," Tsukishima snickered

"Mhm," Yamaguchi agreed. "What about you?"

"Y-Yea y/n-chan!! You should be worried like us!" Hinata stammered.

"Oh y-yea!!" Tanaka added in as the four of them laughed in a dumbway.

"...I asked the teachers if I could take the exams early since the courses were easy." I said plainly as the four stopped laughing and began sulking. 

I only sighed deeply as I fixed my bangs a bit... if I had one that is...

"Well, seems from the looks on your faces, you know what I'm getting onto... If you fail any subjects..."

"I'm sure their having a flashback of their own right now," I said as I yawned and rubbed my eyes. "I'll be going home early guys," I told them as the four began to panic around and having mental breakdowns. "......On second thought, I'll stay for a few more minutes to see this.." I said snickering to myself.

"Hey! There's nowhere to run!!!" Daichi called to the two second years trying to leave the gym, "ENNOSHITA STOP THEM!!!"

"GOT EM!!!" Ennoshita said blocking their path. 

I looked over to Hinata who looked ready to puke at any given moment. "Fail... fail... What counts as a failing grade...?!?"

"THAT'S YOUR QUESTION?!" Suga exclaimed.

I then looked over to Kageyama who was slowly turning into a white lifeless doll. 

"Kageyama isn't breathing!!!" Yamaguchi exclaimed.

"So what grade did you get in your early exams?" Tsukishima asked me as I shrugged.

"Honestly, I could care less, but teachers have been persuading me to take a more advantage class, like AP or something... But I don't want to." I replied with another yawn.

"Sugoi! Y/n-chan you're so smart!" Yams commented, completely forgetting Kageyama was killing himself without breathing.

The following day...

I yawned a bit as I was rewatching the first season as I looked at it carefully.... I had a gut feeling that I should rewatched the season, and when I did, there the shows storyline, was different compared to what it had before...

"Strange..." I told myself

"What is strange?" I heard a voice beside me as my first instinct was to hide the screen of my phone close to my chest and looked up to see a smug grinning Tsukishima, beside him was Yamaguchi...

Wait, when did they get here?!

"What were you watching, hm? Something lewd?" Tsukishima asked with a taunting tone.

"N-No!" I replied.

"Oh? Then why is your face red?" Tsukishima asked again as the smug grin just grew. I huffed my cheeks as I changed the app and played music instead outloud.... I would have my earbuds with me, but Elycia said she needed to borrow it for today... 

If anything, music is life... by that.. I mean I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MUSIC!!!!

"Wow! I don't think I've never hear of this song before!" Yamaguchi said with wide eyes. "What is it called?" 

"hun, these songs are from the twenty twenties" I blurted out

"...The what?" Tsukishima asked as I blinked in a fast speed... Shit.. "It's just 2013 going 14..."

"Just kidding you salty beanpole." I said with a plastered real smile. Tsukishima's usual smug grin disappeared as he gave me a pokerface look, as if trying to look deep inside my soul to find a lie... For now, he lets it slide

"Does 2020 even exist?" Yams asked.

This conversation went on, the conversation about 2020 conspiracies and such, all the way to school.

Upon arrival by the gates, Kageyama and Hinata ran up to me and bowed their heads to me. "PLEASE TEACH US!!!!" They said in unison without even trying.

Tsukishima snorted as Yams snickered. "Desperate much?" Tsukishima taunted the duo, who glared up at him and then looked at me with big puppy pleading eyes

"...."

"Please Y/n-chan!! We'll do anything!!!" Hinata pleaded

"...Anything?" I raised a brow as I crossed my arm and thought for a moment.

The two desperate boys nodding as I let out a small sigh. "....Alright, bring Yachi with you.." I said, knowing that the three of them are going to need help, even though Yachi is in the same class as Yams and Tsukishima.

"That's it?" Kageyama asked.

"That's it, and we'll walk to my place and study there," I said to them with a yawn.

The boys nodded and ran off to the school building to find Yachi.

"Ohayooo N/n-chan~!!" Elycia was running up to me as Tsukishima seems to grunt in response to her appearing and coming up to us. Yams nudged Tsukishima's arm a bit.

"Oh, hey Elycia, something up?" I asked, "are you done using my earbuds? Can I have them back now?" 

"Nope! Not yet silly! I just came to ask if you're going to be free later after school!" She said with a smile

"Oh, shuck, you just came a little too late," Tsukishima said with sarcasm, "you see, he already has a studydate with us first year volleyball team."

"wait, Tsukki, we never agreed to- gah!" Yamaguchi began and yelped a bit when Tsukishima stepped on his foot. 

"Of COURSE we did Yams, don't you remember?" Tsukishima said to him, giving him a look as Yams nodded his head.

"Oh...O-Oh yea!" Yamaguchi replied quickly, "yup! D-Definitely! Sorry Elycia!"

Elycia scowled a bit and then recovered. "That's alright! N/n-chan! How about after the exams? Or during training camp?"

"su-" I began

"Can't we need him to teach us how to do other serves and types of blocks." Tsukishima once again interrupted as I was giving the boys a weird look. 

Why are they acting like this? I looked at Elycia and she seems to notice it as well.

"Oh? Is that so?" She hummed and raises a brow before putting her hands behind her back. "Well alright then, you're schedule seemed pack N/n-chan, when will you be free?"

"Maybe after we get back into the tournament and beat the hell out of Aoba Johsai and Shittytorizawa." I replied.

"Shira-torizawa," Tsukishima corrected

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes.

Elycia closes her eyes and does a purr sound of sort before leaving without another word...Okaaayy what the hell was that all about?

I looked at Tsukishima and Yamaguchi who watched Elycia leave and sigh in relief once she was out of sight. "what was that about?"

"What was what about?" The two of them said in unison before they began walking ahead of me...

....The team had been acting all weird since Elycia joined as a manager... I crossed my arms a bit and shook my head before sighing and followed the two not too far behind them.
