"Mom, is dad home yet?" I ask her while she was cleaning the kitchen.

"He's still at work, dear." She shouts back, causing me to look at the time. Usually, he would be home by now. But for the past week, he's been coming home late.

"How was the campaign?" I ask as Dustin comes into the house. But by him slamming the door, I already knew the answer.

"Shit! I told Will to cast a protection spell against the Demogorgon, and Lucas told him to cast a fireball! HE DIDN'T ROLL A THIRTEEN! AND NOW I ALSO OWE HIM MY X-MEN 134!" He shouts, making me laugh, which errands me a glare from him.

"That sucks. I know that campaign took two weeks to plan, and you have been playing for the past ten hours. Also, Will should have listened to you. Now it's a school night, so get to bed." I tell him so he marches to his room.

Dustin and those boys took that game way too seriously at times, but they were nerds so I let it go. "Like you told your brother... It's a school night, so get to bed." My mom points to my room as she leaves the kitchen.

"I'm going." I get up from the couch, raising my hands going to my room.

"Are you not going to eat breakfast?" My mom asks as I come out of my room, walking past the table

"Are you not going to eat breakfast?" My mom asks as I come out of my room, walking past the table.

"I'm not that hungry this fine morning mother dear." I tell her with a smile heading out to my car driving off to school.

As I get to school, I see Barb, so I speed walk over to her. "Sky, have you seen Nancy yet? I wanted to ask her if Steve called her." I hold back from rolling my eyes.

I didn't care for Steve whatsoever, and Nancy has been getting to that point too. When we were younger we got along but over time. We just didn't have the same interest in things. And I tell you, her taking a liking to Steve really made me not want to be around her.

"Nope, I just got here, so I haven't seen her yet." I say.

As we walk Barb sees Nancy, so she rushes over to her with me slowly following. "So, did he call?" She asks her.

"Keep your voice down." Nancy tells her, so Barb asks quietly this time. "I told you, it's not like that. Okay, I mean, yes, he likes me, but not like that. We just, made out a couple of times." Nancy says as we get to her locker.

I put my back towards them so they can't see me making faces, rolling my eyes, and then fake vomit. "Nance, seriously, you're gonna be so cool now. It's ridiculous." Barb tells her.

"No, I'm not." She says, shocked.

"You better still hang out with Sky and me. That's all I'm saying. If you become friends with Tommy H or Carol." Barb tells her, making me groan since I hated them too.

"I'm heading to class." I mumble leaving them.

"Why the face?" Eddie asks as I bump into him.

"Nancy talking about her love for Harrington so Barb brought up Tommy and Carol." I roll my eyes again.
