Steve watches Eddie and Skylar walking in front of him and tries to listen to their conversation. "Why didn't you tell me the nightmares were back? I thought I helped you..." He takes her hand into his and he stares at their hands. "You did and they went away until the beginning of the month. I didn't want to bother you with them again." She tells Eddie and Steve starts to feel like shit again. "You never bothered me with them because I forced you to let me help you in the past. Why would it suddenly bother me? You're my friend... my best friend really. And you never have done anything that has bothered me." Eddie says making Sky chuckle and Steve to roll his eyes.
"You're the best, you know that?" Sky says causing Steve's heart to break. "Nah... Well as a good friend yes but right now being me... no. I run away from things." Eddie tells her. "You know, Eddie the Banished... you once said, exactly five days ago, there is no shame in running." She nudges him. Steve watches Eddie just look at her starting to smile. Don't kiss please... "You're the best. Especially with everything going on right now. I'm lucky to have you as a friend." Eddie says making Sky lay her head on his shoulder. "You know... 86 isn't your year like you thought." Eddie pushes her away from him. "I hate you. I take back everything I said." He walks over to Dustin. "No, you don't because I'm your best friend. And you love your best friend." Skylar jogs over to them jumping on Eddie's back.
Steve sighs making Nancy look back at him before slowing down to walk with him. "I know she still has feelings for you. It's obvious to some who takes time to observe her." She lets him know. "Doesn't matter if she still does if she's developing some for him." Steve motions at them in the front. "Steve, we all would love if you would pull your head out of your ass." Nancy tells him the truth. "Okay..." He says shocked. "I say that in a nice way. The longer you wait she will move on... It happened last time with Billy. Do you love her?" Nancy looks at him still watching the other two. "Of course I do. I know I'm never gonna find anyone better than her." He looks at Nancy. "Then go tell her that." She shoves him some. "Now's not the time." He shakes his head making Nancy huff going back to Robin.

"Something's happening." Dustin says walking faster. "Dustin? Can you slow down? Dustin?" Eddie follows right behind him. "I think we're getting close." Eddie rushes to stop Dustin, "Watch your step, big guy." He stops him from walking into the lake. "You gotta be shitting me." Steve sees the lake. "Yeah. I thought these woods were familiar." Eddie adds. "Lover's Lake." Robin says. "This is confounding." Dustin says. "There's a gate in Lover's Lake?" Max asks. "Whenever the Demogorgon attacked, it always left an opening. Maybe Vecna's the same way." Skylar states. "Yeah, only one way to find out." Steve says so Eddie leads them over to the boat.
