Looking back towards the sewer system entryway where the others had slipped into for the night, you knew that you had to rekindle your friendship with Jin.
Sighing to yourself, you basked in the fire's heat for the last time that night and proceeded to stand up and make your way inside and towards the soldier.
Once you entered the smelly but safe tunnel beneath the motorway, the sight of everyone else being spaced out and getting themselves comfortable within the situation that they were stuck in entered your line of vision and you couldn't help but look around.
Namjoon was in the far corner of the dark room (which was lit up by a singular lightbulb for emergencies only) and was carefully getting his sister comfortable while covering her with his lab coat to keep her warm. Jia smiled in her sleep as she hugged her older brother tightly, content that she could feel his arms around her and keeping her safe.
Feeling proud of yourself that you had made the right choice of saving him, you could finally look away without worrying and glance over at Hoseok who was sleeping in the most obscure position you had seen yet.
His back was on the floor, but his legs were up in the air and leaning against the wall. The image alone was enough to make you a little concerned but since it was the lunatic, you were able to carry on with ignoring him and look over at the reason why you stepped inside in the first place.
Jin was sitting at the bottom of the staircase, further away from anyone and you could hardly see him through the darkness.
He was busying himself by practicing his ammo reloading as well as keeping an eye out for anything that may be a danger to everyone coming through the sewer tunnels.
You watched from the top of the stairs how his shoulders slump, clearly showing how tired he was but not necessarily physically. He looked to be tired of all that has happened. Afterall, he was a soldier who was trained to save his people.
Taking a deep breath, you built up the courage to make your way down to talk to him. Not just to ask him what went down back there but also to see how he was doing.
"...Jin?" the male froze upon hearing your voice before suddenly standing up and grabbing his gun.
"I'm going to check the tunnels" and with that, he walked on without once looking back at you. Frowning at this, you could most definitely sense his hostility and wanting to be away from you.
