Corey watched as she seemed to inspect his car before nodding herself.

She set down her tool box and popped open the hood of his car and checked out something he couldn't see and begin to walk towards him. She tilted her head in thought before speaking,
"is it okay if i play around with the car so i can get it to drive okay?"
He was glad she had asked if it was okay or it would have been awkward but he figured she'd be okay, she didn't seem like the type to damage his car further and leave his dead body in the trunk.

After twenty minutes or so of him leaning against a tree, zoned out, he was snapped into focus by a hand waving in his face. Corey fought the urge to grab the hand when he looked down and realised who it was, that it wasn't a threat.

Violet smiled up at him and had begun to explain what she had done to fix his car, stressing that it was only a temporary fix as she didn't have the proper tools to fully sort it at the time.  Corey nodded along, slightly dazed because cars were just not his thing, computers were however and yes, he'd say he was smart but right now he was lost.

Now that he'd gotten help, he didn't know what to do, does he thank her and leave? Offer to pay her? Run away because he's scared as shit? Ask her? The man decided to just do a mixture,
"thank you so much, do you want money for this sweetie?"
Jesus christ, sweetie? Where had that come from, way to sound like an old man trying to creep on her, Cor.
He watched as she hid her smile behind her hand and bowed her head slightly, eyes dancing with humour.
" I'm fine, thanks hacker, see you soon, yeah?"
She said this before turning and running towards her house.

Corey choked on air at the nickname, wondering what she meant and how she knew he was a hacker, it was odd.

He decided to leave it because after last night's family meeting, something was off with his brothers and that girl they seemed to be intrigued by, brandon never kept secrets from him and for him to do so was off-putting at the least.

He unlocked his car with the keys clenched in his palm and went to open his door when a small arrow drawn in the condensation on the window caught his eye. Following the arrow, he caught sight of a small piece of paper on his dashboard and wearily got in his car so he could take a look at the note. The man's face turned into a disbelieving grin at the sight of a phone number and a smiley face with a small 'V' scrawled across the small piece of paper.

Corey couldn't really be bothered to linger on the matter of how she got into his car, more happy that she did, in fact plan on seeing him soon.

He had begun pocketing the note when he felt a sharp shock to his abdomen where his small pager type device lie. It was only for emergencies, connected to his phone where he could only receive calls. The name brandon showed on the small screen and he felt his body still at the realisation he was an hour late for their meet up with no contact.

Corey answered and flinched at the loud yelling that greeted him,
"COREY, WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN? ARE YOU OKAY? ARE YOU SAFE?"
The man felt bad at the panic that laced his brothers voice, knowing it was his fault, Brandon had been trying to service his car for weeks but he kept putting it off for none other reason than laziness.

He slowly exhaled and spoke timidly,
" Brandon, I'm fine. I'm on my way home I'm sorry."
He pretended not to hear the shuddering breath the other man released at the opposite end of the line.
"So your okay Cor?"
"yes, Bran"
He couldn't help but let the slight mocking tone fill the ridiculous nickname that stemmed from his own.
"Where were you Corey, we were supposed to meet up an hour ago?"

"my car broke down but i have it temporarily fixed until you or North have a look at it for me"
"and you did that?"
"hey, I'm fully capable thank you very much!"
The defensive tone to Corey's voice didn't go unnoticed.

The man began to backtrack telling his brother he would be home soon before handing up and banging his head against his seat.

He sat up and could see the curtain of a house close quickly which made him smile to himself. Corey then drove off, glancing back at her house once more.

A/n: sorry about the lack of chapters as of late, everything's a bit much but I'm trying to be a bit more regular. Corey is definitely one of my favourites from the toma team.

Any preferences on whose pov next; one of the guys or violet's, maybe even another academy member- phil, uncle. Ect.?
