Violet shivered as she crept towards her final building to search, this must be the one.

The building was larger than the others and nearly completely secluded, no one would be able to hear if anything went wrong.

She felt a violent pit of rage and foreboding stirring in her stomach and knew that somehow she would get Jessica back, no matter what.

She leant against the back door, picking the lock and listening to the inside at the same time. As the door creaked open she released a breath she didn't know she was holding.

She straightened up and grasped the gun she'd tucked into a holster at her back, bringing it in front of her.

As she entered the house she was hit with a vile stench that filled the chilled air. Resisting the urge to gag, she cleared the hallway and placed her ear against the first door, nothing.

Moving on she checked the next room and the next, both were completely silent.

Next she ventured towards the final room downstairs, again there was nothing. She cracked open the door and entered the run down kitchen, there were small piles of medical supplies and small splashes of blood in the sink.

She turned to leave and came face to face with Kayli. They both stared for a small moment, frozen in shock. "You bitch!" Kayli exclaimed.

Both of the girls leapt but Violet reached her first, grabbing her by the hair and wrapping an arm around her neck, gun still in hand. When Kayli went to screech she shoved it against her hair harder, "if you make a sound I will blow your brains out right now."

Kayli huffed, a strange angry sound and sagged in her hold. A second later she lashed out and elbowed Violet in the stomach.

She didn't release her hold but still took a second to gain her breath before hammering the butt if the gun into the side of Kayli's temple. Kayli sagged, dead weight and sunk into a pile on the floor.

Violet assessed what she had with her, she'd left her zip ties in the car and she didn't want to leave incase Kayli woke up, she'd have to make do with the bandages in the kitchen until she'd found Jess and made it to the car. She wrapped Kayli'a hands and ankled in the medical wrap tightly and dragged her unconscious body to the front of the building.

After assuring Kayli would not get up, Violet sped towards the stairs, hearing a muffled thumping the closer she was. There were only two rooms upstairs and she dashed towards the one with the worn, cracked door frame.

She could only hear the muffled sound of one person, and so she slid the door open cautiously.
