After watching violet kick ass, he had to say he was intrigued. She could probably take him down in a couple seconds.
Marc followed her as she'd left the room. They'd agreed to let everyone discuss whether or not to take the long term mission with her. After he'd put his opinion forward, he decided to find Violet.
A couple minutes in, he saw her, sat at the kitchen counter phone in hand.
"you good?" he laughed.
She hummed eyes closed, "mhm, just tired. D'you think it'd be best if I went home, I'm sure one of the guys could text me about the assignment. We can always talk another time."
Marc had started brewing his coffee, offering her some as he thought over what she'd said.
He'd promised with confident reassurances as to how this would be the best coffee she'd ever have. And it would.
She watched him from her seat as he stared at her. Violet's eyes meeting him from above the rim of her glass.
He nearly laughed as she gasped after the first sip, knowing the smirk was practically audible in his words. "the best coffee you'll ever have, right?"
"I'm literally going to take you home, never let you go, just so you can make me this, daily." she laughed.
"cause I'm just that good, right" he winked. The silence being filled with muffled laughter from the duo.
A throat cleared from the doorway, an abrupt silence settling over the room.
Marc watched her bound towards his brother, something that seemed uncharacteristic even for the short while he'd known her. She hung slightly from his back, arms around his neck. Brandon had stiffened at the contact before tilting his head curiously.
"did you use my shower?" Brandon asked, his neck twisting awkwardly to look at Violet.
"hm, maybe. Why?"
"you smell like me, it's odd, " he said gruffly, "anyways, before I was ambushed. We've spoken a lot and it's best to complete this mission. Though owe- Mr. Blackbourne wants to talk with Dr. Roberts. I'm sure you can guess why."
He had to stop himself from rolling his eyes at Brandon's latter words, that nosy bastard. Owen had always tested people's limits, usually coming out benefited from the situation.
" right," she sighed, "I'm going home, can we sort this out tomorrow?"
"yeah, I'll hold boss man off for a day or two, stay safe bean"
Bean? What kind of nickname was bean? If gabe heard this, Marc was sure he'd never hear the end of it. Endless taunting would probably be sprouting from the man. Instead, he ignored Brandon's incredulous look, starting to walk towards the front door.
He heard her soft voice saying goodbyes to Brandon, an yell ringing through the house, her goodbye to the others.
She walked to the door, turning with a quick farewell, heading to the car she'd used last night.
When had she gotten the keys, he wondered.
Hoping to avoid the oncoming teasing he knew Brandon would invoke, he headed towards his room, ignoring the laughter from his family in the hall.
A/n: hi guys!! Updating had been rather difficult, hence this short arse thing. Just a little reminder, if you haven't done so today, take a deep breath, maybe sit down for a bit. Take care of yourselves <3
