A rush of air escaped her, and she gritted her teeth against the fury she felt.
Strapped to an old medical style chair was Jessica. Tears pooled in her eyes and blood and grime stuck to her.
It took everything in Violet not to rush forward and cradle her, but despite the blood and dirt caking her body she looked okay. Her eyes were glossy from the tears but otherwise she looked aware and was speaking loudly although muffled by the wraps around her mouth.
Violet scanned the room quickly, the man she knew to accomplice Kayli nowhere in sight. Seeing the room empty she slowly crept towards Jessica, hands out in a placating manner.
"Hi Jess, my names Violet, I know your brothers and I'm here to take you to them. Am I okay to touch you sweetheart?" She said, unwrapping the restraints around her mouth and hands at Jessica's nod and muffled okay.
She eased her out of the chair, sweeping her eyes over her for any wounds but she looked nearly untouched. It seemed as though she'd been dragged into the room and there were a few scratches and claw marks, presumably from self defence against the pair. She had a small amount of blood dripping down her forehead, again Violet presumed, from the struggle of getting her into the van. She most likely had a very minor injury and some surface wounds, but until she could check her properly over, she wouldn't know for sure.
Jessica sagged against Violet in relief before quietly asking about her brother.
"Don't worry sweetheart, they're okay, we're going to them and your mom now. We just have to get you to the car first." She spoke more gently than she usually would, feeling softer at the young girl clinging to her in fear.
As they made their way down the stairs and out the house, Violet made sure to note the few cameras scattered and the slowly awakening body of Kayli laid against the front of the house.
She eased Jessica into the car before popping the trunk and dashing back to grab Kayli, she dragged her roughly against the path to the car and harshly shoved her into the trunk, slamming the door shut behind her.Violet rest against the car for a minute.
What an absolute shitshow.
She had to call the guys but she couldn't help but wonder why Jessica was nearly unharmed, the other victims would have been close to death in the time it had taken her to find her so why was Jess different? What made this time different?
As she wondered this, she got into the car and dialed Sean's number, placing it on loud speaker she started to drive to the academy building.
On the first ring Sean answered, "hey pookie, where are you? I was just about to call and see if you were any closer to finding her? We're pulling at straws here and I don't know what we're going to do. Corey's trying to find vans registered that match the description but without a license plate there's too many-"
She interrupted his rambling speech, "Sean, I need you to meet me at the front of the academy building, hospital side, I have her and she's okay. Can you also reserve an interrogation room for me please sweetcheeks?"
As she spoke, she heard voices yelling in the background, urgent questioning from all directions all becoming a jumble of words.
A/n: I don't actually have anything to say, it's just tradition now. Actually I take that back, I'm not super sure about this chapter but it's okay. Have a good day, I hope you're all well!!
