Tohru's POV

It's Wednesday evening, three days before the dance. Yuki and Machi are out on a date right now, Shigure is at the estate, and Kyo is training with Master. That means there's nothing to do. I guess I could try on my dress with the makeup. I'm not sure what I'll do with my hair either, so I can do my hair too!

I've never really seen myself like this before. Can I even pull it off?

Who's home so early?

"Tohru, I'm finished with my lessons! Wanna do something?"

K-Kyo?

I'm still in my dress! I can't take off all the makeup, but I can at least get the dress off, right?

Kyo's POV

She didn't respond? That's weird, I hope she's okay.

*knock, knock*

"Tohru?"

No response. Is she okay? Maybe she's not in her room? Would it be rude to walk in?

"Tohru, I'm coming in, okay?"

"Oh okay! You can come in!" She said.

"What was all that about? You weren't answering me."

I stopped in my tracks because she looks.. different. Her hair is nicely curled and is laying perfectly on her shoulders. I looks like she put on makeup too. She looks beautiful.

"What's the occasion?"

"Oh, i-it's nothing!" She blushed.

She wouldn't try to look so nice just to sit in the house. I've never even seen her put on makeup before. Where is she going, and.. with who?

"Okay, whatever. I'm gonna go take a bath."

"Oh, alright, I'll start on dinner!"

What's her deal? She wasn't out with Arisa and Hanajima because they're out spying on Machi's date. She never gets that dressed up when she goes out with them either. Was she out with a guy?

The water is burning, but if I touch the dial at all it's freezing.

She hasn't told me anything about a boy. Her friends were even making it seem like she was starting to be interested in me. Maybe some random guy asked her out at school? What periods do I not walk her to?

Whatever. This is dumb to think about. So what if she has some boyfriend, what do I care? I'll just go down and eat dinner like nothing has changed.

"Hey Tohru. Dinner ready?"

"Just about! Can you set the table?" She's smiling. So big. Who put that smile on her face?

"Yeah. Sure.."

We used to use plastic utensils for every meal, but it's different now. She made everything different. She's accepted all of us, and cared for us no matter the circumstances. I guess it makes sense that she'd do that for another guy too.

"Are you doing okay Kyo? Was your training hard today?"

"It's always hard. There would be no point in going if I didn't work hard."

"Oh, right, that makes sense." She laughed nervously.

I've barely even seen her talk to anyone other than gangster girl and Hanajima. Occasionally the crazy fan club girls, but she doesn't strike up those conversations. Are there guys interested in her and I just never realized it? Have I not paid any attention?
