Kyo's POV

"A school dance? For the seniors? Oh I know! If I ask Tohru to go, I can go too! Isn't that great Kyo! I'm going to ask Tohru to the dance!"

"Like hell you are!"

"But Kyo, it's not like you're going to ask her, so I may as well!"

He's right, but there's no way that damn brat is going to be the one to go with her. It's probably against the rules anyways.

"Sooo... how should I pop the question? Maybe I'll come to Shi-chan's house today!"

"I think you should stay at the main estate, and as far away from our house as possible."

The thing is, if Momiji, or anyone for that matter, asks her to the dance, she's going to say yes. That's just how she is. I'm just going to have to grin and bare it. I wouldn't put her through going to a dance with me, I bet she doesn't even want to go. Maybe Yuki'll ask her.

The walk home was a little awkward. We didn't really talk much, and her head was down. I thought for sure she'd be talking nonstop about the dance and the school trip, but not a word. I hope she's not getting sick, or in her head too much.

In my room, I could hear Shigure blabbing, but he was talking to Tohru, about the dance. I went to listen in at the bottom of the stairs.

"A dance you say? How exciting is that? Which one of our boys will be escorting you?"

"Oh! No neither! I want them to ask who they want to go with! I don't think I'll be asked honestly, but I'll probably still attend with Hana-chan and Uo-chan! They're excited for the food!"

"You know Tohru, I think either of them would be happy to, or I could always go with you if not."

That idiot. I'd take her. If she really wants to go I'll do it. Only if she really wants to though. I doubt she'd want that anyways. It's whatever.

"So, dumb cat, how are you going to ask her?"

"What do you mean? I'm not asking anyone, that's stuff only girls dream about. You're the one that's been on dates with her, why don't you ask her?"

"Maybe I will then."

I'm so stupid.

Yuki's POV

Of course I'm not going to ask Miss Honda, I just have to scare Kyo into doing it. If I get anywhere near her he'll get jealous easily, so I'll take his spot next to her at the table.

"Oh hi Yuki! Are you ready for dinner?"

"Yes Miss Honda, thank you for preparing it for us all."

Shigure was already sitting down, so I sat opposite of him.

"Are you looking for a fight Yuki? What are you doing?"

"You'll see, watch this."

Kyo came downstairs yawning, but when he saw where I was sitting, you could practically see his cat ears sticking out of his head.

"The hell are you doing damn rodent?!"

"I'm sitting at the table, waiting for Miss Honda's fantastic dinner tonight. Care to join us?"

"Wha- are you being serious right now?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

He walked over and plopped himself next to Shigure, just as I had planned. There was no way he'd come to sit by me. I held back a smirk, seeing how much anger he was holding back, and how easy it would be for me to make him break.
