Chapter 32 - I'm Kol. Yours?

(Nixon's POV)

****FLASHBACK TO JUNIOR YEAR****

"I warned you that Jake couldn't be trusted." I grunted; I'm still upset. It's been a week since I caught Jake kissing Kadynce and I'm still upset. "He forced you to kiss him even though he knows that you're with me."

Kadynce rolled her eyes as she turned her attention back to the road once the light that we stopped at turned green. "Can you just let it go?"

We are on our way to Imogen's birthday party. I didn't want to go because I know that Jake is going to be there, but I want to be there for Imogen. Plus, I have nothing better to do on a Friday night and this party will be filled with alcohol and no parents.

Her parents decided to stay over at Kadynce's house tonight just for the party.

"No, I will not." I almost growled. "You know why?" I asked but I didn't give her a chance to respond. "Because this is the first time I'm seeing him since he kissed you. You are making me socialize with this fucking idiot."

Yup, I'm still mad.

Kadynce gasped at my language. "Nixon, stop."

"Nope." I was being childish at this point as I crossed my arms over my chest. "Fuck him, I knew there was a reason I didn't like him when I first met him."

Kadynce sighed. "You don't even have to talk to him, just pretend like he doesn't exist."

"Okay." I scoffed, I can't believe she's really trying that on me. "Or, how about I make him not exist for real as I stomped his head into the ground. What a magical place this world would be without him."

"Or just don't look at him, talk to him, or even think about him." She suggested in a lighter tone.

I nodded with a fake smile. "Sounds fucking good, you should try it too."

I glanced at her.

"He's my friend." Kadynce rolled her eyes again. "You can't expect me to do that."

"As your boyfriend, I can expect you to do that." I laughed without humor. "You are my girlfriend, he had no right to kiss you. And he did it without your permission, that should be a red flag for you."

Kadynce sighed again just as we pulled up in front of Imogen's house and parked.

Thank God, Zayne and Jess are already here. Hopefully, I find them before I see Jake.

Kadynce turned to me after cutting her engine, her eyes understanding. "Look, he said he was confused. He didn't know what he was doing, and he was a little buzzed."

I rolled my eyes as I was tired of hearing this bullshit.

Fuck what he says, he's a liar

"That's no excuse." I sneered, not backing down on the subject. "He's a fucking creep and he better stay away from me tonight otherwise he'll be a dead creep."

Getting out of her Jeep, I went to the backseat to get the presents we bought Imogen. We shopped separately, so she had two different presents; one from each of us. Imogen grew on me, and I wanted to get her something that I thought about and picked out.

She's part of Kadynce's family, so I look at her as my family too.

There weren't too many cars parked out front, but we were some of the first ones here. Imogen wanted us to come early so we'd get a good park.

We plan to stay the night as well.

Kadynce met me at the back of her Jeep so I could grab our overnight bag, we packed together.
